VALID
HOLE-IN-ONE INSURANCE
The Rules of Golf do not address the issue of the
validity of a Hole-In-One. The
Hole-in-One policies and procedures outlined herein apply to the LWW Men’s Golf
Club members only (paid-up members in good standing excluding juniors).
The designated awards apply only to Holes-in-One at
the Lake Wildwood Golf Course.
Members making a Hole-in-One must meet the following
conditions to be eligible for awards to be presented by the Men’s Golf Club:
1) Hole-in-One
must be attested by at least one witness playing in the same group.
2) A
Hole-in-One on a temporary green or from a temporary tee will not be accepted.
3) Awards
are valid when playing a round from the blue, white, red or black tees.
4) The
round cannot be “abnormal” such as one where more than one ball is in play at
any time; extra pins are in the green; a non-standard hole size; etc.
After completion of the Hole In One round, the player
making the Hole-in-One and the required witness(es) must report to the golf
professional or assistant to obtain
confirmation and approval of the Hole-in-One.
After confirmation, the player making the Hole-in-One may have drinks at
the Clubhouse Bar, partially subsidized by the Men’s Golf Club. A monetary limit set by the Men’s Golf Club will
apply to all Hole-in-One Bar awards. A
Hole-in-One award plaque will be provided, if desired by the member. This plaque will have the member’s name,
date, hole number, distance, and the club used in making the Hole-in-One. The member’s name will be added to the
Hole-in-One plaques on display.
