Further about me, my name is Lisa, a 33-year-old staff writer for a three-times-a-week newspaper that is located in Newberry, South Carolina. My beat is police aka public safety, government and the gambit of the absurd. I have been working at the same job since I finished college in 1992.
I am single and heterosexual. I have not found a man that is fast enough to catch me or good enough to keep me. I do not have any children. However, I would not mind meeting a man with children. I just don't know nothing bout birthing no babies. I have been "hanging out" in bars since I was 12 yoa and "dating since the age of 16. If you know of any pick-up lines I have not heard--feel free to list them (ho hum!).
Although I work strange hours, I do have some free time. I enjoy reading (fantasy, romance, mystery, multi-cultural-religion) books. I watch television nearly constantly. My favorites are West Wing, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, CSI, King of the Hill, FoodNetwork, etc.
I listen to a wide-range of music from ZZTop, VanHalen, Motley Crue and ACDC to Bob Seger, Eric Clapton, Eagles and Jimmy Buffett over to Hank Williams, Jr., Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels and others ( I have seen most of them in concert at least once). I love Harley's, but do not own one--just a car. There is nothing like hearing the motor of a good Hog.
I am a strong believer in community service. I have been a member of the South Carolina Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and the Newberry Jaycees for 11 years. I have served in numerous offices and have raised countless dollars for agencies, people and causes across the state.
