Woven Ribbon Gift Wrap

Materials: Wrapping paper to cover package (plain works best) Variety of ribbons in various widths and colors Double-sided tape Scissors

Instructions:

1. Use wrapping paper to cover the package.
2. Stretch a single ribbon across the top of the package, its loose ends fixed to the bottom with double-sided tape.
3. Continue adding a few more ribbons, parallel to the first. Alternate colors, widths, and textures as you wish, but try to keep your design fairly simple so that it does not become too busy.
4. Next, interweave another set of ribbons perpendicular to the first.
5. Follow the rhythm of over-under-over for one, then under-over-under for its neighbor, and so on.
