Traveling Houseplant

Heavy potted plants are easily moved with a homemade dolly. Just make sure to hold the pot while moving to avoid tipping.

Example of plant on new mover
Materials:
  • Flat stone
  • Exterior plywood, 3/4-inch thick
  • Stain
  • 4 casters

Instructions:

  1. Begin by finding a flat stone that is large enough to hold the pot.
  2. Cut plywood into a square just smaller than the stone.
  3. Stain the plywood to match the stone’s color, and attach four casters to the bottom.
  4. Set the stone on the plywood and the pot on the stone.
