After a two hour bumpy drive rounding up the sandy and rubbly highside road, we reached the village (白 路) where I met with my sponsored daughter in the 三 合 宣 明 小 學. Then, we visited a 苗 族 village (六 枝 小 村) and had lunch inside a village house. At dusk, after a further two hour bumpy drive, we visited another village (德 勝 田) where we had dinner and danced with the villagers. I felt uncomfortable by the bumpy return and finally, vomited inside the four-drive wheel car. |

The two hour drive on a relatively smooth road led us to a village called 石 臘 它 where we visited a primary school. Having lunch inside the school, we returned to Wuting (武 定). Farewelled by the local officers, we set off to Kunming (昆明) where we had the famous Yunnan noodle broth (過 橋 米 線) as our dinner in 橋 香 園. Before leaving for the hotel (劍 華 酒 店), I brought some snacks from local Wal-Mark as souvenir. |

A short journal led us from the hotel to the Kunming (昆明) international airport at around 9:30 a.m., ending this wonderful and worthwhile journal. Although harsh, this trip brought me to a world of poverty where people struggle only for basic necessities. The candid warm welcomes by the local people are as impressive as the delightful smiles of the school children. |
