Question #35 - A total of 12 acres has been identified which are out of play and could be converted to native grass areas. Much of this is now mowed and then becomes barren in the dry season. By converting to native grasses they could be allowed to grow to full height providing texture and color contrast to the adjoining maintained turf. Converting these areas removes them from active maintenance, thus reducing maintenance costs.

A no brainer. Saves money and has no impact on playability

As long as they do not create a new fire hazard this is okay.

There is no such thing as native grass. Every vacant lot has lots of grass and has to be maintained all year or it become a fire hazard. This needs to be totally re-investigated.
