Question #28 - This goes beyond simple tee enlargement. Here is the architect's statement. "Reconstruction of the entire tee complex to create a series of four tees that stair-step down the hillside to open up views of the fairway from each tee and eliminate the current blind tee shot situation on the closing hole of the golf course. Current cartpath would remain in place with the forward tees cut down below path level as they move forward."

Simple grading is all that is proposed to give golfer view of landing area from tee.

too dangerous as is

The course needs better defined tees but the obvious drawbacks are the costs and the construction time impacting play.

Let the architect pay for it and I will be in favor

That is a beautiful hole and opening up the views would be great.

One of the few holes where four tees all have a beautiful view

Seeing your ball land is important, most men can't now.

The problem is that someone hired a golf course architect. He wanted to design a new golf course. All we wanted was to fix what we have. His recommendation are no what LWW needs. We need things fixed, not change for "Visual effect"

since this is a modofication this should come of normal maintenance funding; this is not new construction

16.

Not needed

17.

I love #18 and the high tee box, my favorite hole

26.

4/21/2008 11:18:00 PM

Most courses have a "blind shot hole" need to repair/replace stairs to see fairway

27.

4/22/2008 6:49:00 PM

Sounds like change for changes sake. Leave as is.

28.

4/22/2008 10:30:00 PM

Probably not worth the cost.

29.

Same as 23 comment

Great idea and the elimination of the blind shot from the back tees makes a lot of sense.

31.

4/23/2008 10:59:00 PM

It would be nice if the red tees were actually flat!
