Question #10 - This project recommends constructing 10 forward tees on holes 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, & 15. Many golf courses today have from 4 to 6 tees to better accomodate golfers of varied abilities. Traditionally, Lake Wildwood had 3 tees, blue, white and red. A few years ago forward tee locations were defined for all of our holes with the placement of black tee markers on each hole. Nine of these are actually located in what is now the main fairway. This project is to construct proper elevated forward tees on those nine holes and one more on Hole #3.

#Response DateComment:
.4/3/2008 3:04:00 PMTwo people directed the Architect on how high and how large and location of proposed tees. Architect simply fed that information back to us. We have no need for tees as large or as elevated as planned.

.4/3/2008 3:47:00 PMwith the number of senior men and women at lww it makes a ton of sense to have proper forward tees

.4/3/2008 4:34:00 PMjust flatten the blacks - save money

.4/3/2008 6:43:00 PMcould be done simply with railroad ties , fill with dirt, level, and sod

.4/3/2008 7:32:00 PMThe current tee boxes are sufficient, not worth the expenses

.4/3/2008 7:46:00 PMPut in forward tees, but dont think they have top be expensive...Whats wrong with the way they are now placed...Install black tee box on recommended holes....

.4/3/2008 9:16:00 PMSpeed of play is always a concern and forward tees would help. Both 9-hole groups should agree to use forward tees all the time or they shouldn't be done!

.4/3/2008 9:31:00 PMWhy on hole 3? Doesn't seem necessary

.4/3/2008 10:22:00 PMwhen you old-some people don't want to admit it. will help

.4/3/2008 11:08:00 PMchange colors on all Tees so the men aren't ridiculed for playing non white or blue tees

.4/4/2008 2:57:00 AMWould like to use these forward tees on club play day to make play faster

.4/4/2008 1:37:00 PMHalf the golfers are 20 handicap and above and should be playing from forward tees! Change the colors so red is not identified with the womens tees etc.

.4/4/2008 4:30:00 PMmakes playable for more golfers

.4/4/2008 5:48:00 PMLike forward tees but oppose spending big bucks - use existing fairway tees where practicle

.4/5/2008 1:05:00 AMLWW has talked about doing the forward tees for yrs., it's about time. They don't have to be as large as the other tees.

.4/6/2008 2:51:00 AMAnother stalled project. Finish a project sometime soon.

.4/6/2008 4:56:00 AMDefine players tee selection by individual handicap!

.4/6/2008 5:48:00 AMHow does this address the black tees on all other holes. Is there sufficient room for them?

.4/6/2008 3:50:00 PMWill speed up play and enjoyment for older players!

.4/6/2008 11:38:00 PMOpposition is based on weather anyone will use the forward tees.

.4/6/2008 10:47:00 PMWe were promised proper elevated forward tees years ago and are still waiting! It is a lot more fun when you can reach most of the greens in regulation, which is not possible for me from the red tees (the par 3's, 1, 2 and 18 excepted).

.4/8/2008 3:35:00 AMbit concerned if these will really be used once in place

.4/8/2008 5:53:00 PMvery valuable for our "more mature"members

.4/8/2008 6:22:00 PMas long as they do not interfear with the flight of ball from the longer tee's

.4/9/2008 5:59:00 PMWe are all getting older.

.4/9/2008 7:30:00 PMI can't imagine where a forward T would be on 3.

.4/9/2008 11:02:00 PMWe need them

.4/10/2008 8:23:00 PMAlso change red tee color

.4/11/2008 11:25:00 PMLet association employees build.

.4/13/2008 1:47:00 AMif this would encourage additional play by those persons htat would use these tees i recommend there instalation, but feel someone must gather this information first.

.4/13/2008 3:33:00 AMWe have a lot of older players who need a shorter course.

.4/13/2008 6:03:00 PMUnfortunately - Players will probably NOT use them.

.4/14/2008 8:08:00 PMtoo expensive for the amount of use

.4/15/2008 2:47:00 PMGreat idea. Many of the golfers are seniors, which makes forward tees most helpful.

.4/15/2008 8:22:00 PMNot necessary on #3 and 4

.4/15/2008 11:14:00 PMnone needed on hole 3

.4/16/2008 5:15:00 PMWe were promised 2 forward tees in 1997

.4/16/2008 5:51:00 PMIt's about time. Don't call them men's/ladies'. Just designate color by handicap.

.4/16/2008 6:02:00 PMGolf for all levels

.4/16/2008 8:42:00 PMwhy does #3 need two

.4/16/2008 9:00:00 PMWe do not need one on #3

.4/16/2008 9:11:00 PMmust complete asap. need to persue a special assessment to complete

.4/17/2008 1:02:00 PMBlack tees ok on fairway, w/o elevated tees. Spend $'s elsewhere

.4/17/2008 9:35:00 PMBlack tees are rarely used here or on other courses. More forward tees are not needed.

.4/17/2008 9:58:00 PMAssume 3 issue has to do with repositioning green on that hole otherwise why would we need adding forward tee?

.4/18/2008 4:25:00 PMSince the black tees are rarely used, I see no reason to go to the considerable expense of constructing elevated tees.

.4/19/2008 7:27:00 PMI feel that 4 is enough

.4/19/2008 8:46:00 PMNot high on my priority list, especially if it is very costly

.4/20/2008 12:25:00 AMOur aging population makes this desireable

.4/20/2008 12:41:00 AMmany black tees are positioned in or near the fairway and are adequate for their purpose. Spending $$ on elevated tees is a waste of money.

.4/20/2008 1:08:00 PMWhy go to the expense - give the player another stroke for par for those holes and then use honor system.

.4/20/2008 6:55:00 PM15 should have first consideration.

.4/21/2008 4:05:00 PMmowed areas it think are good enough

.4/21/2008 4:32:00 PMwasted spending

.4/21/2008 7:10:00 PMWhy hole 3? Don't waste money here, it is fine the way it is

.4/21/2008 11:16:00 PMHow much use do the black tees get? Is it worth the construction cost?

.4/21/2008 11:16:00 PMExcept #3

.4/21/2008 11:33:00 PMAll the black tees should be put in

.4/21/2008 11:43:00 PM#3 forward tee should be omitted, it is okay the way it is now

.4/22/2008 6:42:00 PMTiming and costs would have a strong influence on my response to this question.

.4/22/2008 10:56:00 PMconfusion

.4/22/2008 11:05:00 PMconfusion

.4/23/2008 3:01:00 AMI do not feel a forward tee is needed on hole 3.

.4/23/2008 3:04:00 AMshorter tees for older golfers

.4/23/2008 4:02:00 AMmight speed up play and improve emjoyment for some

.4/23/2008 4:19:00 AMNot needed, use existing tee blocks a save lots of $$$$

.4/23/2008 4:19:00 AMI think the black tees are fine where they are and the mounds are not needed

.4/23/2008 4:02:00 PMif they would be used, I myself have never seen anyone using the ones we have

.4/23/2008 9:18:00 PMO.K. in far future

.4/23/2008 9:33:00 PMSince we have to fund all projects, money could be better spent on something that would have greater ROI

.4/23/2008 10:28:00 PMOur course should offer an enjoyable round of golf to all levels of performance. A set of forward tees offers this option to those who do not hit the ball as far. With our aging population this is a logical step. Most other courses offer a set of forward tees.

.4/23/2008 11:15:00 PMAbsolutely a must.

.4/25/2008 1:56:00 PM3 should remain as is

.4/25/2008 2:36:00 PMshould be done in house--doubt supt. ability

.4/25/2008 2:42:00 PMthe limited use that these tees will get will not justify the cost.

.4/25/2008 2:52:00 PMnot used enough to justify costs

.4/25/2008 4:05:00 PMOnly 8 holes - 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, & 15.

.4/25/2008 9:57:00 PMNo need to lengthen tees.

.4/25/2008 10:10:00 PMdo the number of golfers using the forward tees justify the construction?

.4/27/2008 9:16:00 PMNot necessary
