MISSION AND GOALS
The Living
Well College Mission is: That Fredericksburg will be affirmatively changed due
to the efforts of the highly productive LW College students, and that students
lives will be affirmatively changed by serving their community and continuing
their education.
Living Well
College is a nonprofit organization founded in 1998 by a group of
dedicated individuals in Austin. It is
governed by a Board of Directors and administered by an Executive
Director. To accomplish it’s mission, The
College’s goals are:
CURRICULUM
The Living Well College programs and
curriculum have been developed to educate and empower people to make a positive
impact on the community. All LW College
for Living classes and programs has been designed to facilitate meaningful,
productive, and beneficial community participation for people with
developmental disabilities. Individual
student need and real life application is the criteria on which all courses and
programs are based. Demand and
enrollment could affect class and program availability.
NEW STUDENT
INFORMATION
Socially appropriate behavior suitable
for a community setting is mandatory.
Admittance will be determined by our ability to meet the individual
needs of a student.
TRANSPORTATION
Courses can be combined to create a
block. Transportation to, from and
between courses can be arranged in advance by contacting Cathy. Transportation will be limited so plan
ahead.
FAMILY INVOLVEMENT
A small school requires active support
from parents and family. Families are
encouraged to communicate with the teachers on a regular basis regarding
student progress. Families are also
encouraged to visit Living Well College and observe class activities without
any prior notice. Living Well College
will have special events, field trips and parties that families will be
encouraged to assist with.
REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION
An annual Registration fee of $25.00 is
due annually by June 1st.
Living Well College has three
semesters, Fall, Spring and Summer.
Each semester, students may enroll in courses of their choice. Tuition and fees must be paid prior to course

signed prior to enrollment in any course or function with Living Well College
and annually thereafter. A Student will
be admitted when all enrollment forms have been completed; the tuition, fees
and registration have been paid.
New Students will have a six-week probationary
period. During that time, the Student
or Living Well College may withdraw the student. The unused portion of any tuition paid will be fully refunded to
the student.

Tuition payments are due prior to the
start of courses each semester. No
student will be admitted to class if there are outstanding fees due. It is preferable that all fees by paid by

organization and will actively seek scholarships and donations to offset the
