After college she opened her own art studio and gallery where she displayed and sold her own work and the work of other artists.
To this day, she maintains an art studio where she continues to create her own pieces and give workshops to artists of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds. Lia believes we all have artistic talents and that our talents can be nurtured at any age, and that all artists have insight to teach each other something regardless of their art background.
Lia has studied art in Brazil, Germany, and the United States. She believes the best way to stay fresh and creative is by continuing her art education in any medium. Lia loves apply different techniques to new mediums. She most recently took jewelry making and copper enameling classes during her last trip to the United States. She plans to make pieces to sell in her native Brazil and give workshops teaching her newly acquired skills.
Lia has studied in many different mediums such as oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, silk-paintings, ceramics and wood block printing. Unlike some artists who find a preferred medium and concentrate their efforts in that area, Lia purposefully switches between the different mediums to maintain her skills.
Lia has her work in many private collections in Brazil, Germany and the United States. She has had her art in many shows and several exhibitions worldwide.
