How to Play MPEG Audio Files...

                   Before Playing a File, the file has to be Opened first. A File can be Opened in 2 ways. The methods are as follows

Methods to Open a File

Directly Using the Open Button

  • Click the Button, the one which will look like this     Open
  • The Same Function can also be Achieved with the Plus key Zero or (Ctrl + O) in the Numeric Key Pad
  • Then a dialog will appear, asking you to Select a File  (A Sample Dialog is Shown aside).
  • Select a File Name from the Dialog and Click the Open Button Available in the Dialog
  • As soon as you Open the File, the file will be Played Automatically.


  • This is how a File is to be Opened Directly from the Main Window.

Note :-

        When you use this method to Open files to Play, Only one File can be Played at a time. To Play Multiple Files, you've to use the Other Method of Playing Files.

Open using Playlist Selector

  • Click the Button named Playlist, which will look like this.     PlayListButton
  • A Window will appear as shown in figure aside.
  • To Add a file, Click the Button the one which looks like this.    Add
  • The Same Function can also be Achieved with the Plus key (+) in the Numeric Key Pad
  • A Dialog will appear as shown above.
    1. Select a filename from the dialog.
    2. Click open to add the file to the Playlist
    3. Repeat Steps 1 & 2 to add more files.
    4. To remove files, Click the Button, which will look like this.     Remove
    5. The Same Function can also be Achieved with the Minus key (-) in the Numeric Key Pad
  • After finished adding files, Double Click on any selected file(s) in the Playlist Selector to start Playing the file.

Skipping a Song

To Skip a Song While Playing the Following things can be Done.
  • To skip a Song Forward while Playing the Button shown should be Clicked     Skip-Forward
  • The Currently Playing Song will be Skipped Forward by 5 Seconds.
  • The Same Function can be achieved with the Shortcut key Number Keypad '6'
  • To skip a Song Backward while Playing the Button shown should be Clicked     Skip-Back
  • The Currently Playing Song will be Skipped Backward by 5 Seconds.
  • The Same Function can be achieved with the Shortcut key Number Keypad '4'

Going to Previous/Next Track

  • To Go to the Previous Track in the Playlist the Button Shown should be Clicked     Next Track
  • If there is a Song before the Currently Playing Song in the Playlist then the Previous Song will begin to Play
  • The Same Function can be Achieved with the Shortcut Key Left Arrow Key
  • To Go to the Next Track in the Playlist the Button Shown should be Clicked     Next Track
  • If there is a Song after the Currently Playing Song in the Playlist then the Next Song will begin to Play
  • The Same Function can be Achieved with the Shortcut Key Right Arrow Key

Changing Look of MPEG Blaster with Skins

MPEG Blaster's Outlook can be Changed with the Help of Skins. It comes with 6 Inbuilt Skins and the following are the Methods to change the Skin
  • To Change the Skin right click any where on MPEG Blaster's Window
  • A Menu will Pop up as Shown in the figure aside. Then Select the Skins from that Menu. Again a Menu will be shown in the Figure.
  • Then Select the Required Skin, MPEG Blaster will automatically Load and Refresh the New Skin
