Non-Custodial Mom Information |
I've read many books on being a non-custodial Mother. I have tried to include a little information for each book listed to assist you in determining if the book may help you in any way. I am an avid reader, and I hope that you will at least find one book on here that will help you or someone you know through these hard times. Sloan |

Joint Custody With a Jerk By: Julie A. Ross, M.A. & Judy Corcoran
This is a good book to read if you are having problems dealing with a difficult ex. The book gives many situations that are all too common in a difficult divorce. It also helps to show you how to deal with these situations in a healthy, productive way. I found that this book not only helped me in dealing with being non-custodial, but it also helped in dealing with difficult people in general (being a jail nurse I come into contact with very difficult people daily). A very good read. |

What Every Woman Should Know About Divorce and Custody By: Gayle Rosenwald Smith, J.D. & Sally Abrahams
This book was given to me by my daughter, Haleys, therapist. All of Haley's caregivers were stunned and angry with the outcome of my case. This book is an excellent read and talks about all issues surrounding divorce. It includes: how to pick and attorney that is right for you and your situation; how to deal with being single again; court issues; parental kidnapping issues; grief issues and so much more. I highly recommend this read! |
