OBJECTIVE:

To obtain a position as a live-out nanny with a family (or families) where I can gain valuable childcare experiences, and in the meanwhile form bonds with the children, and help them learn & grow.

CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE:

All as I was growing up, I have helped my mother do home daycare.  I learned to prepare meals, bottle feed infants, change diapers, entertained children with books, child games, and activities from a very early age.

I became an aunt at the age of 8 (we have a huge family, I have 7 brothers & sisters) and have done occasional babysitting for them all (I now have 16 nieces & nephews, from ages 1-20 years)

I have worked in professional day care centers (
The Wonder Years Learning Center: Wilmington, MA and Mulberry Childcare & Preschool: North Reading, MAfrom 10/00 through 12/03.  Here I worked mainly with toddlers as an Assistant Teacher, but did float to the infant room, the preschool, & kindergarten room at times.  I did things like helped Lead Teachers set up a curriculum, monitored children in classrooms as well as on playground, taught children concepts, controlled behavior, changed diapers, toilet trained, performed art projects with children, took children on outdoor classroom walks, exercised First Aid training when neccessary, filled out daily sheets for each child, entertained children with active play, books, songs, and other activities.  I also learned to interact with parents and follow specific childrens needs.   I was also responsible for organizing toys into bins, sweeping floor, bleaching table tops, and other cleaning.
