2001 West Coast Road Trip: Canada

As you can see, our road trip has finally reached the wasteland of Canada. We spent several days there but I didn't feel the need to take many pictures. On this page is about everything we saw. The pictures stop a few days from the actual end of the journey. After Red Deer, we went to Edmonton and then made our way home.

- Slept Late. Colin ran 5 miles.

- Ate lunch and then golfed 18 holes at a par 3 course. Cheap Fun.

- Had Pork Chops for supper

8:00-9:30PM - Played hockey with real life Canadians

- Took the credit card to the liquor store.... and had some drinks before bed in the camper

Summary of Day 8:

- Slept late again, had breakfast and lunch. Played pool and race cars and Mario Kart.

- Went to a Car and Airplane Museum in the afternoon - Leanne got lost.

- Had Burgers for supper

- The Family went to church for 2.5 hours

- We stayed back and took it easy

Summary of Day 9:

-Got up around 10:30

- Colin went for a run

- Ate breakfast, packed up everything, on the road to Edmonton around 12:20

- Went to Cheryl's house, went to the big mall and looked around a while, came home, had supper went over to where we where going to sleep

- Cheryl was housitting

- Then we went to "The Fringe"

- Saw Izzy the clown

- Saw "Weiner Boy"

- Saw "Stilt Guy" cut Barney and Po's head off - Colin gets "Get out of Hell Free" card.

- Lots of people food and performers

- Fat guy contortionist - He rolled around a lot. "Don't go!!! Come back and have sex with me."

- Saw Scottish African bagpiper dancing crew

- Arnie

- went to bed around 2

Summary of Day 10:

11:00 AM - Get up

12:15 PM - On the road for home

- Stopped in Peyton Saskwatchewan to piss and do video update

- Stopped outside Saskatoon - "Bong Boy", "Whereabouts you from?". Got more gas.

8:30 PM - Blast Through Regina

- Camped at Weyburn , Saskwatchewan

- Finished off the coolers and smokes

- Had a good chat

Summary of Day 11:

- The "Home Stretch"

7:00 AM - Got up

7:22 AM - On the Road

-Ate in Estevan

9:00 AM - Went through Customs

- They made us fill out forms, searched our pockets, looked through the entire car and messed things up a bit.

- They couldn't figure out the hood

- Walter and Teriaki survived ok and we made it though

- Now we're back in the USA with good roads and normal signs

11:00 AM - Stopped to get gas in Minot ND. Gas was $1.84!!!! Why ?!?

- Drove through the battlefields of the "Great War" many abandoned houses, mass tree graves, empty schoolhouses.

- Many war relics lie beside the road to serve as a reminder of the past. Very somber mood.

3:00 PM-CST- Stopped in Fargo.

- Finally reach McDonalds on quest for cheap cheesburgers

- Tragedy strikes, there are no cheap cheeseburgers in Fargo.

- Colin shares with restaurant patrons " I have to take a dump".

7:35 PM - Entered the promised land of Iowa. WOOHOO!!!


Here we are about the cross the fabled US-Canada border.	Oh look, the dumbshit Canadians want us to 'Thinkmetric'. I think they were just too stupid to figure out the American way.

Summary of Day 5: - Left Val's at 8:00 - Colin is attacked by psycho-crazy cat - Dinner at a McDonalds in a Wal-Mart (Crazy stuff) near Vancouver. 12:30 PM - Gas in Hope B.C. - What octane you ask? No one knows. 4:00 PM -Volt light comes on again, in Sicamous BC. It's the alternator again, went back to Salmon Arm got alternator and got it put in - Napa Parts "Chick Dude", nuff said. Oh, and she can drive a stick 8:30 PM - MST- Found campsite - way down a long road, at Kinbasket Lake Resort - Cold, very cold, had a fire. - Burned Driftwood from the lake - Saw Glaciers during the ride today. - Saw Deers today Day 6:

Wonderful. Even more pretty Canadian scenery. This is Lake Louise in case you were wondering. The place is full of Asians.	The hotel at Lake Louise. Shaft is in this picture. A couple of Asians are also on it. Amazingly, there is a white guy on here too.

This Colin outside of one of the stores in the hotel. The store was called Mount n' Rider. Canadians are a dirty people.	Now we've made it to Banff. More pretty Canadian scenery. Here's a big hotel.

Holy crap. More scenery. Oh, Colin too.	Now here's some real scenery. Two beautiful young ladies. One in jeans, the other in tight white shorts. She had just walked past us but it took me a while to unleash my camera.

Now we're in Red Deer, Alberta. This a picture of Shaft and the camper we stayed in at Leanne Doornbos's house.	Here is the actual house that the Doornbos family lived in.
