The Caledonia was launched on April 21, 1925 and completed on September 25, 1925. She made her maiden voyage on October 3, 1925 from Glasgow to New York. In September 1939 she became an Armed Merchant Cruiser and was renamed Scotstoun. On June 13, 1940 the Scotstoun was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-25 200 nautical miles west of Inishtrahull. Six dead.
