This shot is of the Tigers rear engine deck. Of note are the Fiefel air cleaners and the large rounded cupola that marks the early model. On the port side you can also see two "s" mine dispensers. These were used if the tank was swamped by enemy infantry, firing anti-personnel mines into the thier midst. Because this was the first kit I built, there is no super detailing visible here. Compare this shot to that of the Sturm Tiger, you will see that the engine grilles on the Sturm are far more detailed and realistic than those shown here, which are the default kit grilles. Super detailed grilles really add to the final look and I heartily recommend them, even if they are the only super detailing you use, they are very straight forward to fit. also visible here is the extensive pipework that ran from the Fiefel units into the Maybach engine. On later models the only evidence of this are the empty pipe mounting brackets ( again look at the engine deck shot of the Sturm tiger).
