| This rear shot of the Sturmtiger is virtually identicle to any other production Tiger, with no significant changes from the original. On the starboard side, above the mudguard sits the tanks jack, and beneath that a heavy duty towing point. The exhausts are shrouded in the standard Tiger fashion and between these sits the flywheel of the engine. Missing from this view is the large crank handle usually found on the lower starboard side. This was used in conjunction with an inertia starter to fire up the tank in the event of an electrical ignition failure. The sturmtiger also uses the Tigers large width battle tracks, this shot clearly showing the broad tracks to effect. |
