| This view of the Sturmtigers engine deck gives a demonstration of how etched metal grilles can enhance your model. Compare this shot to the rear deck view of the early production Tiger on this site, and I think you will appreciate the difference. These grilles come from the Eduard exterior detailing set for this model. On the technical side, this shot clearly shows the exhaust shrouds and main engine access hatch (centre of rear deck ) also visible are the retaining brackets for the hawsers usually found on production Tigers, remember all Sturmtigers were rebuilds from normal Tiger chassis` returned to Alkett for re-engineering so they maintain traces of the original configuration. |
