This view gives a nice appreciation of the detail you get from this Tamiya kit, a real feast for the eye. this shot, taken from the upper port side, demonstrates nicely the double hatches in the outer turret skirt and the turret side itself. You can see the detail of the cuppola mg, the rounded sight and ammo belt, plus the ammo box are all metal from the Eduard detailing set and in my oppinion add a real touch of authenticity to an already attractive kit. At the front of the hull, the driver and radio operators hatches are clearly visible. On the top of the turret in front of the cuppola, you can see the rounded ventilation cover for the turret extraction system. Along the hull flank, you can see, from front to back, the standard wooden block ( can somebody tell me what this was used for? i imagine it being a brace or chock for the tracks), the two repalcement rollers for the suspension and finally the multi rod kit for barrel cleaning of the main armament.
Also visible is the "Rommel box" a sheet metal storage case carried onthe rear of the turret, inside the skirt .
