| This is a birds eye view of the Porsche turret from the right side of the tank. Here you can see the commanders cupola, with the anti aircraft mg 34 in closer detail. Behind the commanders cupola, you can see the raised , rounded plate of the ventilation system on the turret roof and beyond that you can see the loaders hatch. You can get a good impression of the size of this machine the huge flat plates of the turret giving you some idea of scale. Also visible here in the view are the large wire mesh anti mine grilles protecting the turret overhang, and the raised mounting ring on the hull , this was a feature peculiar to the Porsche variant , the Henschel turret fitting directly onto the superstructure. |
