This Starboard side view of the Jagdpanther allows a nice view of the interleaved wheels, supported by a torsion bar suspension system. This allowed the Jagdpanther a respectable turn of speed of 46 kmph.
Also visible are the schurtzen, protection against hollow charge anti tank weapons. These are etched brass skirts from the Eduard range. These are far easier for you to deform to simulate wear and battle damage compared to the standard plastic skirts provided with the kit. Also visible (just) is the saukopf or pigs head mantlet. These were made to provide improved balistic protection to the base of the gun, having a very deflective balistic profile and also being considerably thick! Along the length of the vehicle, you can see the extensive tool stowage familiar to the Panther family, including towing links, crank handle, jack block and sledgehammer, as well as auxialliary tracks stowed alongside the engine bay. This view also allows you to appreciate the rakish lines of the bow, the 80mm armor being sloped back at an angle of 55 degrees, the hull armor of 60mm being sloped back to the same angle. This made the tank very hard to knock out from the front and it usually meant the enemy had to flank it in order to destroy it.
