vs Mosta F.C  2-1
    After a very disappointing outing against Lija, out team perfprmed brilliantly against Mosta. We had Liam Mangion returning in the starting line-up after starting the season with Floriana F.C.  Neville Arpa once again started on the bench and Mark Galea started in an unusual position of left half-back. Matthew Calascione started again upfront with Mark Psaila and they were a very dangerous tandem on Sunday. The midfield was very compact with Micheal Mangion and David Galea fighting for every ball. Roberto Pisani had his best match so far where he was safe in every action.

      We started the match on the offence and Calascione was dangerous on two occasions in the opening minutes. Then on the half hour mark we opened the score through Micheal Mangion after some good work with John Stivala. We remained on the offence for the rest of the first half and the start of the second half. This paid back as Matthew Calascione increased his tally to 6 six goals and our lead to 2-0, after a very fine solo run. The match seemed to be under our control at this time and things looked even easier after Mosta were reduced to ten men. However, after five minutes John Stivala was red carded for a very normal foul outside our penalty area. Mosta reduced the arrears in the 75th minute through Johan Zammit and Reuben Cini was sent off after the goal for tripping Zammit after picking the ball from the net. Adrian Buttigieg replaced Matthew Calascione to make his debut in the First Division and nerves increased after the goal. We were forced to defend for the rest of the match and operate on the counter attack. However there was some relief 5 minutes from the end as Mosta were also reduced to nine men.
