As was expected St.Andrews found little difficulty in disposing of bottom placed Zebbug Rovers in a game completely dominated by us.
Zebbug not only failed to register their first win this season but also disappointed after their recent performance against St.Patricks, even though they scored twice on the changeover.
St.Andrews with Ilic, Stivala and Galea in top form, are now in joint third place with Lija. Psaila scored the first goal after 15 minutes and 12 minutes later an Ilic freekick hit the post with Ryan Calleja being on hand to tap home the second. In the 35th minute, it was 3-0 as John Stivala headed in a Mark Psaila freekick. At the start of the second half, Zebbug reduced the gap with an own goal by Mark Tabone, but the Saints quickly re-established their three-goal lead as Ilic beauifully beat substitute goalie Duncan Galea after a good Stivala move. Ilic then had a freekick hitting the crossbar, while Galea efftected saves on shots from Stivala and Mangion before Zebbug scored their second goal through Errol Cachia in the dying moments
