*Do I have to take all my clothes off?
*I'm modest; will I be uncomfortable getting a massage?
I tell clients to undress according to their own comfort level.  Most people do remove all their clothing, but it is perfectly fine to leave on underwear, socks, or if necessary, even to be on the table fully clothed.  You will be getting undressed and dressed again, and getting on and off the massage table in privacy.  Also, during the massage, regardless of what is worn or not worn, you will be draped securely with a sheet, and usually a blanket on top of that.

*I want to get a massage regularly; how often is best?
Once a week is what I recommend as an ideal.  Obviously, that may not be an easy commitment financially, time-wise, or even physically; if that is the case, the next best is every 2 weeks; the next best every 3 weeks, etc.  I do have a $5 off "schedule discount" as an incentive to get on a massage schedule.

*I have health issues; can I get a massage?
It entirely depends on the issues.  There are some contraindications for massage.  In some cases, I may ask for your health practitioner's written approval.  It's my experience that most doctors are liberal in their approval of massage.  If you do have concerns about illnesses, injuries, or any other condition that you may feel may be in conflict with receiving a massage, please talk to me beforehand, so that we can appropriately address the issue.

*Why is your price so low?  Don't you value your work?  Is there something wrong with the massage?
My price is nearly half of the local standard industry rate.  The answer is so easy; I offer massage at an affordable rate, simply so that everyone is able to receive quality bodywork as often as possible.  I value my work highly, and want it to be within reach.  Also, I have no marketing expenses; nearly all my clients are introduced to me through referrals from other happy clients.

*What kind of lotion/oils/products do you use?
Unless otherwise requested, I use natural oil blends that I prepare myself.  I use a combination of high quality culinary-grade vegetable oils, infused with milder, skin-friendly essential oils such as sweet orange, tea tree, and lavender.  Plain oil is always available also.  I never use massage lotion.

*
Is it appropriate to tip?
Tips are appreciated immensely, but never an expectation.

*How do I pay you?  Do you take checks or credit cards?

I accept cash, or local, personal checks.  You pay after the massage is complete.  Receipts are available.

*What if I am late?  What if I forget my appointment?  What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 24 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling.  I understand that things come up though, and giving 24 hours notice is not always possible.  If you are late, depending on my schedule, I may have to stop at the original ending time.  Sometimes, I will still be able to give a 75 minute massage.  If you don't show up for an appointment without a phone call first, and if the reason is other than that of an emergency, then I ask that you pay for the massage as soon as possible, and within one week of the missed appointment, come in for the massage (which you will have paid for.)  I don't mind giving confirmation calls before massages, so, if you feel you would like a reminder call, please ask.
