Joy Barnett
Words can never really measure up to the love and respect I have for my grandmother Joy Barnett. She was completely honest with her answers and was surprised by a couple of my questions. I hope you enjoy my 'interview with grandma'.
When I think of grandma I think of her creating one of her many beautiful paintings, while another 20 were drying in the sun-room. She loved this hobby and was saddened by the need to give it up after years of dedication to her craft.
Joy's favorite time of the day is between 4 and 4:30 in the mornig. This is always her time with grandpa, as she put it, her time for comraderie with him.
When I asked grandma who the most influential person was during her childhood years, her first response was her mother. Her mother was very sweet and caring. She added that her father was very influential in her life as well . He was a very hard worker and, for this reason, was away from home much of the time.
