Jaimyn remained quiet as they rushed through the woods to a small cave, as they entered he looked around, his eyes in a worrried glance. "This be yer home?" He bit his lip, as Sandra nodded and sat down. She took a piece of pie out of her hiding area and broke a piece off for him.
"You eat don't you?? I'm afraid it's not much, and if you live with me you won't be having much meat, but it's what I have." She peered into his eyes, and he nodded and took it, eating it slowly, savoring it.
He then went to go hide in a corner. "Sandra?"
"Yes, Jaimyn?"
"I don't 'ant to be simple no more."
"That can be remedied, your lilt was getting on my nerves." He blinked at her, and she smiled, having meant it as a joke, but he looked away, tears forming in his eyes. He started remembering what brought him here.
He muttered silently, almost to himself to recap his situation. "He killed me wife."
"The wizard killed her? How old are you, Jaimyn?"
"Eighteen, she was me bethrothed. Mudder wanted us together, her fadder owned land. Bootiful tresses of red 'air.", dreamily he went on, "But, like most women, she didn't like me. She 'ever spoke ta me."
Sandra huffed, "Wasn't much of a wife then, was she?"
He shook his head, and covered his face,"She did 'verything for me. It was 'er duty to me. I didn't want it that way.", and he closed his eyes and breathed in sadly. "But she's gone now."
"Bah! She was an overrated maid, she cooked and cleaned for you. You're better off, living for yourself." She watched him, his body language showed a great dispair, as if he was hiding more, but that was none of her business and she wouldn't ask, unless he told her.
"Get some rest Jaimyn, we have a lot to catch you up on. So you're prepared."
Jaimyn passed off her remarks and curled himself in a ball, staring into the fire, his eyes overflowing with tears, but he never wanted to show them to Sandra and he closed his eyes. He didn't sleep at all that night, every sound rememinded him of the screams and sights of that day. Sandra kept a close watch on the boy, she wondered if he would make it through what he was meant to be, if in fact he was the One.

Two years had passed since that first day, when he had first laid eyes on Sandra. He was plesantly pleased that he had conquered the lilt and sound more like a man. Jaimyn awoke with vigor, and he was actually happy, he walked out of the small cave and down to the small creek to take a bath. He spied that Sandra was there as well, in the distance. To him, her skin was clean, beautiful, and he had to admit to himself, even though this woman had inflicted many a singed hair or burned hand in the past years, that he was beginning to have feelings of affection for her.
He swam out, and under the water, and touched at her shoulder--he saw she had a tatoo, one of a dragon. As he touched her a his arm began to burn, as she turned to look at him, and then--all was dark.
He then woke, in a sweat, looking around. Both afraid of what the dream meant, and of guilt for touching his teacher, he looked around for something occupy himself, as she was not there.
