Forever the winds have taunted me, echoing a soulful plea. A distant cry my name seeming so lost and alone. My nights haunted by this faceless vision. One of a goddess clothed only in a sheer white gown. The wind with all its contempt swallows her shouts as she pleads. She is clear in beauty yet I see not her face. Many of life's wanderings and still my quest is not complete. She returns nightly calling my name. I wonder, am I not mad seeking this vision of my dreams? I drift aimlessly through the forest, knowing she is near. The winds taunt me with her distant cries. Many pass but none is she, my invariable phantom of the night. Perched upon a cliff scanning the vast emptiness she stands. A flash of lightning silhouettes her form tracing every line. I can not move struck by her maidenly beauty. Knowing that my destiny lies before me just steps away. Is this truly the one? With each wavering step I breathe her life within me. Beside her now silently I beg to see her face, for once her eyes meet mine I will never be the same. She turns to face me her benevolent brown eyes obscured only for a moment. The taunting winds as if in one last attempt to mock me veil her face. With reverence I brush her hair aside leaving my hand molded to her cheek. With hands serene she cups mine gently. Her masked features forever unseen now become lucid as we touch. A tear covers our hands as she speaks in hushed tones. "I have called your name did you not hear me ?" Our eyes transfixed I respond " I heard your cries, though the wind and rain softened the words, the pain rang clear through to my soul" "From this day forth that what I was is not as I am now Complete, unbroken....whole"
