Dear Ms. Flatow,
Thank you for your
response. Yes, the slides would be on the
internet for all to see, although I
can't imagine anyone other than
teachers would even access the site,
because that would be through our
school district's site, and under a
lesson plans section. Also, I
wonder if Ms. Yolen sent on the
sample slides I sent to her. I only
scanned 8 of the pages, and there are
notations or comments inserted
(obviously not part of the book's
original artwork or text) that have to
do with the word choice. The
pages are from the center of the story,
and there are not enough of them used
for me to conceive that anyone
would ever use them instead actually
reading the real book (if anything,
it would prompt the viewer/reader to
want to get the whole book, I would
think!). I would be happy to
send you the whole presentation, wherein I
sited both the author and the
illustrator, and so that you could see how
the pages are actually used.
Thank you for your time.

Dear Ms. Cota,
Your permission request to use images and text from Jane Yolen's Owl
Moon was forwarded to me by Ms. Yolen. Will your slides be posted
on
the internet for the public eye to see or is it going to be posted on
the intranet for teachers and teachers only to see?
Sincerely,
Silvie Flatow
