I met Juan on Decmeber 31st, 2003. It was at a New Year's party that I wasn't too thrilled about going to. My good friend Marlena had to convince me to even go. Well I went, figuring that I'll probably have a little more fun there then by myself. So I'm at the party, just kinda chillin, letting my buzz take my mind off of things.
A while goes by and finally I'm introduced to Juan. I remember thinking "Damn! Finally a cute guy!!". We chatted and danced for a while and before I knew it, I was mad cheesin! When we sat down to chat some more, he told me he had a son.... and for some reason it didn't scare me off. I dunno, maybe it was his sexy grin that had me hooked.... I know it was that sexy grin that got me to get up and actually get him a beer! That buzz had me acting like a dork, but whatever, I was diggin Mista Man.
By the time the New Year sneaked up on us, I knew things were gonna be very different for me in 2004.There was just something about him. Even our first kiss that night felt so good, so right.
We've been together for almost a year and a half now. This picture is of us when we got engaged on Dec.11, 2004. It's amazing how much has happened in so little time, and yet everything feels so right! I like to think that we were destined to meet, that it's meant to be. Juan and I were both contiplating whether to go to the party or not in the fist place, and look how things ended up! For a long time, I had lost hope in finding a perfect man, thinking I was just gonna have to grow old with 100 cats! But, I met Juan and my whole life has changed. I finally found what I never thought I'd have at only 22 years old. I'm actually living a perfectly imperfect fairy tale!
Juan, you are my everything and my one and only true love. Because of you, I'm truly the luckiest and happiest girl alive.
