Goal: Students will be able to multiply using numbers 0-10.
Objectives:
1. To test student’s knowledge of their multiplication tables.
2. Students will be able to apply skills of multiplying to larger numbers.
3. Students comprehend multiplication facts 0-10.
Connections: This lesson connects to the following Kentucky Learning goals:
1.1 Students will use a computer for math homework to solve problems and answer bonus questions.
1.5 – 1.9 Students will be doing project in which they will need to design and answer their own multiplication problem.
1.13 Students will design a visually stimulating poster board to present their project to the class.
2.7 Students understand their multiplication tables 0-10.
5.1 Students will work in groups to make their own multiplication word problem.
5.2 Students will use creative thinking skills to develop a math problem using multiplication and then present to class.
Context: This week’s lesson is the end project of our multiplication tables for this year. In the previous weeks the students have learned their multiplication tables 5-10. The students learned 0-4 in the 3rd grade. Each week we worked with two new numbers. This week we will be finishing up with a test over the multiplication tables 0-10 and a project, which will be presented on Friday.

Procedures:
1. Multiplication tables done on board.
2. Put students in groups of three.
3. Pass out math worksheet.
4. Explain to students that answers are to be done in groups but everybody in-group must turn in a sheet to receive credit.
5. After students are done with worksheet explain multiplication project.
6. Ask if students have any questions.
7. Assign homework questions from book.
8. Also give website www.funbrain.com so students can get more practice.
1. Collect homework from students.
2. Ask for any questions about homework.
3. See how students liked website.
4. Practice more problems on board.
5. Pass out worksheet to be done individually.
6. Assign groups and numbers for the math projects.

2. Allow students 20-25 to finish math projects and prepare to present in class tomorrow.

1. Address any questions about multiplication facts before test.
2. Give multiplication test for numbers 0-10.
3. Once students have finished test allow them to break off into math project groups.
4. Allow about five minutes to students to prepare for presentation.

Accommodations: Some students may not have computers at home to do the websites assigned throughout the week. I will need to make sure I have hard copies of the pages from the website. I can print off the bonus question to give to students who are not able to access the website.
Student Assessment: Students will be assigned a multiplication project and a test will be given to test their knowledge on their multiplication skills. The multiplication project will assess their skills and how they can apply them to make their own multiplication problem. Each group will design and present a problem and the class will solve the problem. The handwritten test will assess the student’s knowledge of their multiplication tables 1-10.
