Well he is going to another collage because he wants to see other parts of the world, there is nothing wrong with that. I know you will probably miss him but that is life. If your going to miss him a lot though, you can talk your parents into sending you to that collage? All you can do now is wait until you guys are out of collage. During the summer and holidays you guys can set up something to were both of you meet in say, Texas for the summer or Ney York for the winter. If you really truley deeply love him then I wouldn't brake up with him. It's fine to date long distance, like on the phone, over the internet on IM, or even sending mail to eachother is great,.Just as long as you really love him and he really loves you, I would consider staying a couple and maybe someday getting married.
