Through all the years,

I never knew the way I felt about you.

I kept it a secret, forever to hold,

But now I can't keep it inside.

 

You were always there for me,

Helping and to care for me,

With your arms open wide,

A hug to give to me, to tell me that everything's going to be alright.

 

You've been there warning me about people through my relationships,

Who and who not to go out with,

But I didn't listen, no,

I pushed you aside, when I knew you were right.

 

Slowly, it developed, my love for you.

I wish I could have you, but I know I can't.

We are just friends, forever friends.

Never to be lovers. Ever.
