Ashton Kutcher
as
Michael Kelso

Christopher Ashton Kutcher was born February 7th 1978 (26) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to parents Larry & Diane. Five minutes later his (fraternal twin) brother Michael was born. He also has a sister 3 years older named Tausha. When he was 13, his parents got divorced and his brother had a heart transplant (he's okay now though! :) When he was 15 his mom moved all 3 kids to Homestead, Iowa (a small farm community) with her then boyfriend (now Ashton's stepfather) Mark.

In Iowa he had jobs sweeping up cereal at a General Mills factory, skinning deer and in several restaurants where he washed dishes. His first acting role was as a thief in the 7th grade school play "The Crying Princess and the Golden Goose". He was also involved in sports (where he broke several bones over the years) and has said that it was hard (because of stereotypes) being in both extra curricular activities. One of his most embarrassing experiences was as a freshman, being duct taped naked to a pole, as part of a wrestling team initiation, in front of fellow female students. Ashton attended Cedar Rapids Washington and graduated from Clear Creek Amana High School. He was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity at the University of Iowa where he studied biochemical engineering- he was planning to specialize in genetics. Those plans were interrupted in 1997 when he was "discovered".

An agent saw him at a local restaurant and suggested he enter the Fresh Faces of Iowa modeling contest. He was surprised but entered and won. The first prize was a trip to New York to compete in an International Model and Talent Agency competition; there he was signed to New York Modeling Agency Next. He quickly went on to travel all over the world to model for magazines and on the runway for many top designers including Versace, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. He also got acting jobs in a Pizza Hut commercial and a New York student film named Distance. In spring 1998, he went out on auditions for TV shows; one of them was That '70s Show.

He enjoys hanging out with his cast mates, Danny Masterson and Laura Prepon in particular. He golfs, bowls and dines at Red Lobster with them. A good friend he has off the set is fellow model Chris Kramer. And if that's not enough he also dabbles in starring in big films. "The Butterfly Effect" is currently in theaters.

How he is like Kelso:
"I'm nothing like Kelso. Well, he's a very good friend - other than that, we're completely unalike."
Favorite Kelso moment:
The most fun I had was an episode where we all steal a road sign. It was just us being mischievous.

Lives: Two bedroom apartment in West Hollywood.
