That '70s Show

The millennium may be here, but let's go relive the 70's with the half-hour hit comedy THAT '70s SHOW on wednesdays, from 8:00 to 8:30 PM ET/PT on FOX.
Featuring a young, break-out cast, That '70s Show is an innovative half-hour comedy about another time. A time when leisure suits roamed the earth, Patty Hearst was found guilty of bank robbery and "Play That Funky Music White Boy" shared the charts with Neil Sedaka. A time when people flocked to the movies to find themselves shocked by "Carrie" and moved by "Rocky." A time when America witnessed the birth of the 'TV Babe' on shows like "Charlies' Angels," while celebrating its 200th birthday. The time is 1976..well now we are in 1979! Yes, we've carried two real years into 6 seasons!

It's the worst of times, but it's also the best of times for Eric Forman (Topher Grace), and his group of friends who want to take over his world. Whether it's sneaking a brew or two from their parents' disco party, borrowing Dad's Vista Cruiser to drive to the Todd Rundgren concert or making fun of Marsha on "The Brady Bunch," these friends are your typical teens on the verge of young adulthood only it's the 1970s.

A retro-hip situation comedy set in the era of bell-bottoms, smile buttons and 8-tracks, THAT 70's SHOW is a nostalgic and funny flashback to the "Me' decade from celebrated comedy producers Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner and Caryn Mandabach ("Roseanne," "The Cosby Show"). Also producing are Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner -- the wildly inventive creators of "3rd Rock From the Sun" and writers of such feature film hits as "Wayne's World," "Tommy Boy" and "The Brady Bunch Movie" -- and fellow "3rd Rock" producer Mark Brazill.

Too cool for the Wisconsin suburbs where he lives under the authority of his parents Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp), 17-year-old (still?) Eric yearns for his independence. But rites of passage aren't all that easy at a time when jumpsuits and platforms are the epitome of cool. Just ask Eric's next door neighbor and now fianc, Donna (Laura Prepon), a knock-out whose dad Bob (Don Stark) just discovered perms and short-shorts.

Sanctuary for Eric and Donna is the Forman basement. This is where the circle of friends -- including Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), a good-looking but gullible guy, especially when it comes to his pampered ex-girlfriend Jackie (Mila Kunis); Hyde (Danny Masterson) [who happens to be dating Kelso's ex. Yes, you got that right Jackie!], a conspiracy theorist who thinks Xerox will take over the world; and Fez (Wilmer Valderrama), a foreign-exchange student who's soaking up American culture like a sponge -- ponder their lives, the world, their parents and each other.

So join the many of us and re-live our "me" decade, the 70s!
That '70s Show is a Carsey-Werner production. Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner, Caryn Mandabach, Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner and Mark Brazill serve as executive producers. That 70s Show debuted Aug 1998, now going into it's sixth season. Where will this show take us now? KEEP WATCHING TO FIND OUT!!
