While Fox and Theresa are not (yet) lovers (though the TheRox fans have voted them PASSIONS's Favorite Couple in our online poll nearly 30 times), their portrayers Justin Hartley and Lindsay Korman, got engaged last month.
An insider says that Hartley proposed at the set on November 13. Although the engagment comes just six months after the co-stars began dating, it is no surprise to those who have spent time around the loving twosome.
"Justin is the first guy that I told my mother how I felt about him. So, she knew that he was going to be the one." Korman smiles. At a recent Digest photo shoot, Hartley teased, "We're aware that there are rings out there and that some of them, in the right size, may fit Lindsay Korman. And we are aware that it will be four-and-a-quarter [carats]."
According to a setside source, the wedding is slated for 2004. However, "I wouldn't be surprised it they're married by the end of the year," the source added. Hmmmm...not to far-fetched considering they are spending Christmas and New Years alone in Paris. But the couple said at the shoot that an elopment wasn't in the cards for them. Hartley assured, "We definitly want a wedding."
Lindsay shares she was shocked and stunned when Justin proposed to her. She wanted it happen but feared it wasn't going too. She was afraid to look down when he was taking something out of his pocket, incase she was only letting herself down. Lindsay asked him if he was sure, and he said yeah. Lindsay says if you think Theresa cries hard on the show, it's nothing compared to how much she herself did. Lindsay said Justin is an incredible man and she's so grateful. Justin said he picked the ring out in New York by himself. He shares the ring is a custom ring, very pretty. He proposed to her in private. He did think of doing something big when he proposed to her and then thought it's more important to focus on he treats her when they're together and not just for that one moment. Justin said Lindsay is the greatest thing he has ever come across in his whole life, and she will have many romantic days coming to her. Justin confides he wants to marry real soon, he doesn't want to wait too long incase she changes her mind.
As previously reported, Passions star Justin Hartley (Fox) and Lindsay Korman (Theresa) are tying the knot. Now come the details of the engagement.
"Justin told me to say he got got down on one knee because his shoes were untied." cracks Korman. "Just Kidding! I was completely shocked. I really wanted it to happen and I was so afraid that it wasn't happening that I didn't want to look to see what he was getting out of his pocket. I was scared to be let down. I was like 'Are you sure? Is this really it?' As soon as he said 'Yeah' I never cried so much in my life. You think I cry alot on the show? Tears were gushing out - with joy. He's an incredible man I'm really greatful."
For his part,Hartley said most of the planning involved buying the ring. "I ended up getting it out of New York, talking to this lady over and over again telling her exactly what I wanted. I finally got it in the mail! Its a custom ring, very pretty. When we talked about getting an engagement ring (in WEEKLY's interview in the Dec. 2 issue)we said 4 - but we meant Lindsay's ring size, not how many karats it would be! I'm like 'I'm not a motion picture actor!' Besides that would be way to big for her anyway." he says with a laugh.
As for how he proposed, "I didn't do anything that elaborate. It meant alot to us, but its private. Its funny cause I was coming up with all these great big ideas and I know its important, but I started thinking 'I should focus more on how I'm going to treat her when we're together not just this one moment.' She's just the greatest thing I've ever come across in my entire life. She's gota bunch of romantic days ahead of her."
Theres no wedding date set yet, but Hartley confides, "I don't want to wait too long because I don't want her to change her mind!"
