| Dear Family and Friends, We are writing to tell you our wonderful news, and to give you some advance notice. Chad Lushr and Lara Medoff will be getting married on April 27, 2002! We hope that you can join us out here in beautiful Southern California and share this special day with us! Our Story...We met on the 4th of July, 1999, on a boat in the Redondo Beach Harbor. Lara instantly won Chad over by offering him a piece of apple pie, and CHad instantly won Lara over just being the charming gentleman that he is. Over the next 6 months, we became good friends, spending lots of time together playing in the beach cities. Then, in December of 1999, we started dating. During the next year and a half, we shared many exciting adventures - skiing in California, Colorado, and Utah; waterskiing on the Colorado River, wine tasting in Santa Barbara and Temecula; kayaking in Alaska; and hiking in Hawaii. Chad surpirsed Lara with a beautiful diamond ring and a touching proposal in April 2001, as the sun set over the Pier in our hometown of Hermosa Beach. SInce April, we have been making great strdies towards planning for our wedding weekend. We will be getting married in San Pedro, California, at the Fort MacArthur Officers Club. THe club has a beautiful lawn where we will have the wedding ceremony, and a ballroom where we will hold the reception. There is a Hilton hotel right next to the base where we have reserved a block of rooms. In addition, we have reserved rooms in the Grandview Inn in Hermosa Beach for those of you who would like to stay in our little town - right near the beach.
