::i'm actually going to admit that i'm a little shopped out. went shopping on friday AND sunday with my favourite pretty woman (Are you on commission? Big Mistake). Sherway is still my favourite mall, although i had a hard time finding wat i was looking for.. yorkdale was madness... seriously: do not go there near christmas time!

took a little trip to waterloo on saturday. happy convocation tanya, even though we had to celebrate without you. the bomber was a huge disappointment. the stupid place is always closed during the day, the time i'd really like to go. and at night, its just turning into yet another hoochie joint. sigh. i can't believe they extended the patio! anyway, mel and i stayed up really late and watched disney movies. i actually cried watching mulan. i am SO CHEEZY! AHHHHHH!

work sucks. i just want to lie around all day. but benneton called me today. they have great coats.::

::my aussie friend chris from 2nd year is in town. crazy, haven't talked to him in years since he went back to australia to finish his law degree. now all of a sudden he's back in the loo visiting friends and called to say hi!
also, anyone remember renee from BC? she called me last week cuz she's moving to toronto soon. anyway, i just think its awesome that people can keep in touch after so long over oceans and continents. it gives me hope that the people i care about will always be in my life - and yes, that means all of you : )

so we went out for thai last night. i actually had these noodles that were sort of tasteless. ridiculous since thai food has so many spices in it. oh well. they can't all be Bhimas can they? mmm... soooo goooood.. besides, seeing everyone again made up for the bland food::

::well i can't say i got ringside seats to a boxing match, or just got back from my west coast tour or anything... but i had a pretty fun weekend for a commoner..
i had a great oktoberfesting time at the rec centre, mostly because i got to see so many friends i haven't seen in so long. i've missed you all! mel and i were a little bit disappointed that our second home (the bomber) was closed but the fact that there is now a sugar mountain in university plaza made up for it!
this morning we got up and had good old fashioned eggs and homefries for brekkie. i ate way too much candy and junk this weekend so this week is going to be health week for me. hello gym! becky, mel and i did a little shopping at connestoga this afternoon and sampled bourbon chicken - mmm! i guess it was more like hanging out at the mall since no one felt like trying on clothes or doing any kind of serious shopping. i'm saving that for this coming weekend : )

::mm.... still half asleep. why am i even up? i have to get ready to go to the loo otherwise i have a lot of sleep to catch up on still.
i went to the food and wine show yesterday and tasted some great gourmet selections of cheese, chocoalte and zinfandel. i can't believe how much i ended up eating and drinking - lets say i got a little flushed. we tried to go to the bar to meet friends but it was raining and there was a line-up so we just ducked into the keg.

otherwise, the week has flown by. i finally got i-net at work, which is not what its cracked up to be. its a Mac too. oh well, my responsibility level has increased so i can't complain.

i've also realized that i'm not the greatest scrabble player. or maybe that's just when alcomahol is involved.
back to bed. just 5 more minutes::

::today at work, the fax machine was flooded with incoming resumes... do you think its a sign my days are numbered? ok i get the hint! whatev, like i wanna answer their dumb phones anymore anyway. i went on a 12 game winning streak with freecell today... and i think i'm going blind. at least its a 4 day week - yahoo!

i just got my hair trimmed - she took off something like 5 inches! but at least this time i didn't pay $50 bones and the girl was actually nice. i'm all over the zellers haircut. i know, i'm ghetto. ghettofabulous!

::phew. i'm soooo tired and its only 9pm.
this weekend was so busy running around eating multiple thanksgiving dinners... blehhhhh! i am sooo full! i actually think i'm beginning to look like a turkey. or a chocolate truffle (either way i ate too much of both). saturday night dinner was really fun: adorable babies, fruit platters, maple squash, 3 desserts, chocolate, cards, alcohol...

for our sunday dinner i made spiced pears poached in a red wine sauce for dessert. i can't believe there was no chocolate involved in that! i guess i was trying to keep things "light". whatever. we ended up having chocolate TCBY with smarties as a second dessert. piggy piggy. ended the weekend with a bike ride in the city. it was a little chilly but a lot of fun. i don't wanna work anymore : ( "good morning blazing design!... good morning blazing design... good morning blazing design... good moaaeehhhhhhh..."::

::i have a new activity in my day (since i finished book II - soooo good) - minesweeper. they brought me an oldskool laptop to use but there's no inet and its not hooked up to a printer so i can't do very much with it aside from play solitaire, freecell and minesweeper.

i had a great weekend. christi had her "last night out" before she leaves for korea so we went to the bier markt which was cool because i love beer but not cool because it was so expensive. at least there was no cover and james found free parking! i also stole an full sized pumpkin and a few gourds from the bar - te he, so sneaky i am. cranium came out again but the game ended when the pizza got there. i also had a fantastic brunch in bloor west village on saturday and yummy chicken salad on sunday. i love good food in good company.

the rest of the weekend was pretty much sleeping, but it was much needed, quality, lazing : )
craig, feel better! next time remember to go easy on the vodka::

its hard to believe one week can pass so slowly.
i guess its no surprise, reading design mags and LOTR for 8hrs isn't the most action packed day a person can have.
not much going on these days. just a lot of eating at taryn's cottage, eating after work, eating at work... it was getting out of hand so i've been trying to hit the gym to balance the savagery. where i work is a danger zone: licks, subway, quizno's, swiss chalet, 2 sushi places, a falafel place, bombay bhel, tim hortons, great cdn bagel... the toughest decision in my day is where to go for lunch.
saw sweet home alabama - very chick flick and very cute.::
