::So I just got back from the mall with julie... but I didn't even buy anything! I did get the best mitts and bag and bra last week tho but the sales were so good that I HAD to.

Phew. It's been a busy few days in my life. I have applied, gotten an interview, and received a job offer from Softchoice all in the span of about 2 days! Yes, the pay sucks and the job isn't ideal but i really like the company and frankly I think it's a great fit for my personality (snicker...). Whatever, i just want beer-kart fridays. Plus, I get to work with MEL!
i'd like to thank god, the academy... but most of all melly and steve - my support crew for helping me get and prepare for the interview. You guys rock my world.

The funny thing is that when I got to Blazing this morning, the first thing my boss sez is: you are NEVER taking a day off ever again!!... which was naturally the perfect segue-way to my resignation. I guess their temp for the temp was a nightmare. I'm gonna miss theo and tom and keith. We photocopied our faces on our new Xerox Docucolour - ha...! I'm def. not gonna miss the work. And really all the candy we consume on a daily basis is becoming nauseating. I think if I kept working there diabetes would have been inevitable.

I feel like I can finally take a breather. Especially after 2 celebration dinners in a row - me stuffed!::

::I almost forgot to mention that last week i watched ER too (in ref to a-gok's last update). Every time I watch it I wish I were a doctor. I guess we all know that I'm not cut out to be a doctor but it would be cool to be helping people all the time. And every time I watch that show it makes me cry. This guy lost his son and wife to a drunk driver and it was so sad.

::I think I have a sleep disorder. I tried to go to bed at 9:30 last night and couldn't fall asleep til about 2am. And my internet was not working so I had to try and read and stuff to tire myself out. What is wrong with me?

Ottawa was good but a bit rushed. Tanny's play was awesome but most of all it was nice to see the Waterloo Crew again + Ashley. I can't believe how much snow there was up there compared to home.
We visited the Hershey Chocolate Factory and did a bit of shopping and experienced the country bar scene. Tan made us the greatest eggs benedict but I don't think I will eat that for another year or I may have a heart attack. Not to mention how much chocolate I ate... blehhh.

Every weekend, I get mad at the person who invented the 5/2 weekday/weekend thing. I just don't understand why it couldn't have been 4/3 at the very least. I should just get over it because what can I really do - write a petition?

Well I think its time for massive amounts of tea or I will fall asleep on the job.::

::i heard from my North 3 girls this week. i'm so proud of how well everyone is doing for themselves.congrats to sean on loving med school - its always good to get the update on the old high school crew. and for everyone who isn't exactly where they want to be, its still good to test the waters so don't think its all a waste cuz its not.

aneil, seriously even people that don't drink coffee love the gingerbread latte. plus you can get them decaf if you're really that weird (theo). never been more glad that tomorrow is friday. enjoy it friends, esp if you have it off

::not feeling well after a stressful day at work. i had to proof and print these ads that HAD to be out today and our new colour printer is wrinkling everything. plus i realized what low importance i am to the company:
BD 1: hey lets get luen to cut and score all the xmas cards we designed.
BD 2: but she's not a designer, she's never cut before. she'll cut off her finger tips!
BD 1: i'll go get the cutting board and tools.
well i still have all my fingers believe it or not. as a treat, theo and i went to get g'bread lattes at lunch. yum. those starbucks guys love us. te he

went to the raptors game yesterday only to see them lose. booooo! oh well, at least i got to go to the game with great seats : ) and in better news, i only have one more gift to buy and i'm done my Christmas shopping. ye ha.
man, i made a pumpkin cheesecake yesterday and its already gone! pigs i tell ya, i live with piggies::

::yay! i saw harry potter today with the poster children from club monaco and dex. haha... i love friends with shopping problems worse than mine. we got a small scare when the movie was sold out at yorkdale (the busiest mall in the universe - blehh) but our quick thinking relocated our venue to Colossus. It was so awesome and we all pigged out on pizza, popcorn, my tupperware of homemade CRINKLE COOKIES (mmmm...), and Bertie Botts every flavour beans! Those jelly beans are so gross so be warned. We tried vomit, dirt, black pepper, spinach, booger, ear wax (Marsha's favourite), and the worst one - sardines ewwwww. ok, only mel tried that one and only b/c we tricked her into it. hahhaha... it was good times.
theo and i rode the rocket and GO home in the lightly falling snow. so sleepy now. i think all that late night baking has put a strain on me. just one more game then bedtime - my spider solitaire addiction is getting out of hand AH ::

::my life is like a sitcom (good one spn). every time i tried to quit this week, something got in the way. so finally I met the boss today and he sez, look i know you're not staying but lets work out an agreement so that we're both not getting scrood by the temp agency until we find someone new. works for me... except theo and tom laughed at me for falling for that ploy because they don't think blazing will ever look for someone new.

oh well. HARRY POTTER is out today! i got some every flavour beans for the show tomorrow - woo hoo! i can't wait. i might have to re-read the book tonight to prepare.

gotta go - hungwy. me vewy hungwy.

::i attended the mayors gala this weekend. hazel mcallion is 82 (!!!!) and still running our city. i cannot believe this. the woman quite frankly kicks ass and gets props from me. i'm sure that means a lot to her.
the righteous brothers performed too! we were told that "you've lost that luvin feelin" is the most played song in radio history. pretty cool huh? anyway, i'm so excited that i got to wear the pink/red dress again. yee ha. I also now own a Hazel Mcallion bobble head doll : D

more shopping today. I swear the more i shop the more i love it (and the more i want to buy). oh well!.
we then went to the sweetest little thai place where the woman who owned the shop was so cute we wanted to take her home and keep her. the thai food was pretty cheap, spicy and yummy!

watched blade II and now i'm more than ready for bed. especially with this stormy weather. mmmm.... bed.

::man did this week ever seem to draaag on. prolly cuz i'm so excited for tomorrow!
today after work theo (one of our graphic designers) and i went shopping. more like window shopping but it was fun! we hit up all the good clothing, shoe and jewellery stores and discussed the weird phenomenon of girls reaching 'the jewellery age'. can't explain it. then we just hung out and watched hockey and drank beer and tea. I'M HANGING OUT WITH A MARRIED COUPLE! But theo and corey (*theo is a girl in case anyone cares) are our age, cool, and don't act like old people so its ok. Still, they did just buy a house. eek.

in other news, blazing has re-offered me the position. aw it makes me blush that they want me so badly but i'm sure its also a combination of them not being able to find any other good receptionists out there. and believe me, i'm a fantastic receptionist so they have very large shoes to fill.

the week actually wasn't too bad outside of work. i went to see red dragon, which i quite liked. ed norton is so good! there are some yucky parts in it that creeped me out. i had to keep my feet off the ground and hide behind my hot date : ) i can't believe what a weenie i've turned into.

::young, reja and i went for lunch today (my old MS gurrls!) for some suuuushi... and some catching up. we made a little stop at krispy kreme and this man in a caravan had a hairy fit because i opened the car door into his van. there was not even a slight dent or scratch and i even apologized nicely! he was so mad we had to wait inside in fear until he left. DUDE it's not a VIPER, its an old, navy blue CARAVAN!

In other news, the wedding this weekend was fun. I don't think i've ever seen so much food served in one meal! it was a bit strange - a male bride's maid (or "bridal attendant"), weird dress colours, a weirdo MC, and some freudian slips during the speeches made it an entertaining night.
other than that, watched some pretty woman (you can never get enuf of this classic), shopping at fairview, and yummy spicy chicken fingers. i must say we make excellent cooks. ::

::did you ever wish you could take back a day in your life and do it over? well that's how i feel. sometimes i don't realize how stupid the words out of my mouth can be. but i guess that's what makes us all human. i feel so shitty.

so the agency has offered me a full time position. it seemed like such an easy decision until the last few days where i've gotten to work on a lot of projects. I've been helping to get the images for some of our ads, billing our clients, building portfolios and such. i guess at the end of the day i'm still answering the phones but even that's not too bad. plus my design team is fun.

my head hurts. ::
