Oh yeah, party's on... that's why i'm still at the office; its almost 1am! The scary part is that I'm not alone. all young ppl here. Then again there's no one in the whole company that's over 40 but whatevs. Besides, i'm in my sweats (what's nu) with a beer in hand. Yes, no one needs to remind me launch date is in 2 days! blehhh! enuff! XP overkill! anyone mentions those 2 letters and they get a drop kick.
But yay! We won (and played) our first Microsox game! And got our jerseys! so we're 1 for 1. Not bad stats... now we just need a lil' sunshine!

Hmm... eyes are buggin out. Clipless pedals will hafta wait til friday =(

May 27, 2001

I'm just about ready for bed...oh so exhausted. Christi and I tackled Blue's log pyramids, ramps, rock gardens and expert trails like hardcore biker chix! We are uber-excited (to coin someone we all know and love) to get our clipless pedals this week. We are so Flyyy!

This week was like high school all over again. Dinner with Karen, then ran into Jenny, Otis, Ryan, and messaged with Ricky. Ahh the good ole days!

Bruce had a rockin wine & cheeze pahtayy on Friday, except that me after 10 wines (only one less than "mr. great personality") was not pretty. Dave has a very clean bowl I must say... Anywho, I was so sloshed that I somehow dropped my car keys and work security card in the cab on the way home even though they weigh like 5 lbs and are huge... What a long night ;) Seriously, I don't know how Steve puts up with my drunken idiocy sometimes =) Really great night though 'cept it killed me Saturday and I really shouldn't have gone to Mel and Brooke's place. But I did get to meet Derek and Mel does make a killer Daiquiri so all was not lost.

Party's on! - boss is on vacation... who am i kidding, bring on the OT.

Quickie entry. Trying to get out of the damn office but i'm waiting for the data to export. HURRY UP! It's 7pm and the sun will go soon!

Went to Chapters last night. Good to see Sean again since its been like a year. Altho it's weird how people just change and move away in so many ways. We read the latest Maxxim. That mag makes me laff!!

K, SQL is done like dinna, and i'm reddy for dinna! L8r sk8rs!

Huge chanx to Trixie for having us up at her cottage this weekend. We played frisbee, beach volleyball, football and girlie football, and TABOO none of which I'm very good at but all of which was really fun. Tan and I went swimming in the lake. We swam out to almost the midpoint of the lake... and then we stood up. ha ha! No, it wasn't really that shallow but the dunes did go out for a long while.

The Casino was fun while it lasted, the girls had our fun at Wild Cherry but almost got beat up by the old psycho people that practically lie across a whole row of slots so that you can't take their machines. Makes u wanna say "Whoa easy there Tonto, its just quarters!" Raptors lost, yes, but it was a great game to watch on a 40 ft. screen with a rambunctious crowd none the less.

Fireworks were good but set to "repeat" on 5 min intervals. Fire pit on the other hand was great with my S'more Master and drunken Ginny =) Mel was in a very content spot (somewhere btwn black and white...) Next time, the midnight canoe will be in full effect. And boyz get reddy for a rematch in taboo...losers run around naked and jump in the lake!

Yesterday was perfect despite the rain... curled up with my Pillow to watch The Shawshank Redemption - wow is all i can say.

I have an experiment in the makes. I bought bubbles last night and am planning to make my own bubble tea! Heehee, who wants to try it first?
I have a bone to pick with restaurants. I hate it when there are ambiguous signs on the bathrooms doors! I know i'm going to walk into a mensroom one of these days. It's like that
commercial!
We went to this pub James Joyce last nite for a FREE customer appreciation buffet. We got scammed in the end though because we spent way more on their expensive beer than their chintzy food prolly costed! Nothing is free in life kids. So much for Ciao Edies... we're OLD! We ended up in Book City (do you think there's a cover?) where we laffed our asses off at dumb quote books that were coupled with even dumber pictures. Tan and I bought Harry Potter and I read it on the looooong subway ride home. It passed the time tho, so much that i missed my stop! OOPS!

COMEON RAPTORS!!! DO YOUR THANG!... only one more day til cottage country!

I am the official queen of slack. That is the best site in town, say goodbye to productivity that's for sure! Anyway, it is so beautiful outside! I biked to work today. Boo to all those commuters in the one-person-per-car polluting machines! Man, I see more late nights coming this way. The campaigns are getting out of hand! But we're going to the Mustard Grille tomorrow as a thank you yummm!

It sounds like everyone is having fun out there on the west coast there! I'm coming to visit! Save me a spot on the beach! Yeah, I'll be saving lots of money this term... AHHHH WELLL!!

Went to bed at like 8pm last nite. I'm such an animal! Then I woke up at 5am, ate, went back to bed and got up at 10am. And of course I'm still tired! I wonder why it works that way...

Heading out for a facial and masssage with my mum now. And then sushi after! This might be what it's like in heaven he he...

At the office again. It's now almost 10pm but the good news is we just ordered food and we're watching Toy Story 2, which is AWESOME! Every time I watch Toy Story movies I always get re-suckered into believing the whole theory of toys being real when us humans aren't watching - those mighty quick reflexes they have when people walk into the room!

Went to the Bomber yet again last night. I think that will be my last trip in awhile. It was awesome once we got in but too bad we had to wait forever to get in. Still, I love the Bomber. The Beefcake Bus (with me - the biggest beefcake of all - at the wheel, Buzz, and the Kidd) was one tired party driving back to the city this morning. Timmy's anyone? Buzz is a nutbar for staying out that late and getting that drunk. I will call him "mini nutbar"...
RE: Our sports teams? no comment.

Okley Dokley. My
marketing campaign is performing like the Leafs. Slow, but not altogether a failure (yet?). It's not too bad staying late at the office when one of our meeting rooms, the Jordan Room, has funky leather couches and satellite connection to get the game. Then again I'd still rather be at home curled up with my favourite 6 foot pillow.
Today will be my first baseball game, unless we get rained out =(
Here's
me and Randy at work =)

Two nights in the LOO this week was less tiring than I woudda thunk. Maybe cuz I had such a great chef, or perhaps cuz i am known to konk out anywhere in 0.2 seconds... Movies at Tanya's house quickly turned into the bball game (
WOO HOO) and simpsons. Besides, Lock Stock was seeming somehow familiar (SNATCH?) and I didn't have a cable for my dang DVD to watch Toy Story 2. The rain was surprisingly nice and refreshing!

My friends are so sweet. Karen, Ingi u guys always know what to say. By the way the last entry was taken from the description for a Hobbit, my current literary choice. Went to THE BOMBER last night.
Tan and Becky u girls are the cutest too! We'll be framing the picture where Tan is amongst hotties... Now I REALLY wish I were on school term. We missed Mel's presence of course and surprisingly, my old "just one drink" policy never stuck. Saw so many people that I wasn't expecting to see. The patio was in full effect and luvin was in huvin (so i'm not a rapper but it rhymes!). Anyway, we took the 6am bus home this morning and hit mondo traffic but it was worth the trip to the LOO. The eyelids are getting heavy but as per Remy's suggestion, just paint eyes on your eyelids and no one will ever know...I'm out!
May 1, 2001

This weather is so rockin! I'm luvin it 'cept i wish i were on school term now :( And in case you've ever wondered... and what is a Luen?

Luens are little people, smaller than dwarfs. They love peace and quiet and good tilled earth. They dislike machines, but they are handy with tools. They are nimble but don't like to hurry. They have sharp ears and eye(s).
They are inclined to be fat. They wear bright colors but seldom wear shoes. They like to laugh and eat (six meals a day) and drink. They like parties [Bomber] and they like to give and receive presents. They inhabit a land called The Shire [mississauga], a place between the River Brandywine [waterloo] and the Far Downs[toronto].

This is just a small sample of how real life can sometimes be a reflection of what you read. I keep meaning to give a warm welcome and link to Mel for joining cyberspace but the link is on my laptop... next entry Melly darling!
