::yay, boogie is mine! that's what i've named my car. here's the funny part: djen came to pick me up from work and we took her to the car wash. if you were in the GTA tonight you will laugh at me as we just got poured on.
this weekend was nice and relaxing compared to last. I started by doing a tiny bit of shopping. I feel that my finances are in grave danger since the summer clothes are all coming out and are so awesome.
went to dim sum yesterday for Chinese New Year. I thought it was greasier than Emerald but still it was fun, especially introducing Steve to the dim sum experience.
Went to see Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Not the best movie ever but it had its own unique flair that was pretty unexpected. i really want to see 25th hour now. ooh, and matrix - wooo! exciting times in the movie world.
got into a psycho elevator that started going up and down and not stopping at a floor. Lucky some hottie saved me from getting stuck in there and being late for work!::
::went for some after work drinks with the girls (and rafi from work) last night. we were all supposed to go to this play but i sold out and went home instead. i know, i missed a good show. at least I got to see holly, erica, tara, tara and caryn, brandie and MEL (since i never see those three!). it was good to just sit around after a crazy stressful day.
so chekkit out, i may soon be a car owner. eek! does that mean i'm a big person now? i hope not b/c they still carded me at the brunny last night (where we went for dindin - they actually sell food there, not just recycled beer!). anyway, i may be getting the ole civic if big choo gets his new wheels this weekend. how exciting! no more annoying trains!

::mmm... i was a cooking machine last night. I made this bomb spinach salad with boiled egg and cheese and cucumber and dill dressing, then i made those japanese soba noodle stir fry, THEN, i made chocolate pudding and strawberries. yum! sigh... i just love food! and wine :D
i'm glad to see amisha back online. the scibiz web presence was beginning to dwindle!
mel and i broke down and got cookies today, after an hour long discussion about them over lunch. ha. speaking of mel, she's famous! not only is she in the globe&mail, on CTV (see related video), now the Chariman is ringing her! aww... make us proud melly. ::
::yay i'm back! Jay Peak started out as the worst mountain i'd ever ridden. after our neverending bus drive we experienced the most frost-biting, bone-chilling winds we'd ever felt and super icy runs. so we ended up just chilling out in our sweet slopeside condos, played board games (settlers) and hit the sack early.
Saturday was sooo much better to our relief. Not only did the conditions improve immensely but we all attended Jason Tham's lodge party apres boarding. There was a short stint of hot tub action, which was nice on the aching muscles and then people got silly and started jumping off the balcony onto a couch and break dancing. It was fun to hang out with some familiar faces: Rach, Inthida, Jen, some Sys Des people and my one and only Tanny.
Sunday took the cake when it snowed overnight. Andrea and I got up bright and early to experience fresh delicious powder almost equal to last year's Red Mountain experience. The tree runs were by far my fave. I guess Jay turned out to be a pretty good mountain as long as the conditions are right (and people!) Can you believe I didn't drink the entire weekend aside from Tanya's homemade Baileys?
I'm really glad to be back, although i could have slept ALL day.
I just had the BEST turkey chilli I've ever eaten. Mmmm... Go bucks! tee hee... and even moreso, yay raptors who scored some free 'za!

there's not too much going on these days. its really too cold to do too much outside. the only thing that ever mixes things up is my commute home... ooooohhh.... but, i'm really looking forward to the patio days when the sun doesn't set til after 9.
mel and i discovered that the shoeless joes beside our work sells Rickards for $2.50 during happy hour!! so you will all have to come and have beers with us on the west side.
we also have a patio at work. its really sort of like a large fire escape type veranda but it overlooks the city so its kind of cool. then we can sit and watch the windmill thing go! I actually saw it working yesterday. anyway, now i'm just rambling.
one last random note: you have to try the Lindor Limited Editions. They have cinni and amaretto flavours!! So good. I could eat them all day... "could" I say... ::
::I have seen The Lord!!!.... of the Rings that is (I know, this bad-joke disease has got to go). And was it worth the wait! So good, but they left out a bunch from the book so far... hopefully we'll see it in the next movie. Damn hollywood's got us by the nuts with this 'wait one year til the next release' thing...
Anyway, I had an awesome weekend. I went shopping before the movie and to the gym after the movie and then... reeelaxed :D Sunday was even better: story-telling time (Daddy, what's a fathom? - awww), and lunch with my first year girls. Man, I haven't seen my Jenny in soooo long and even Jules and Dawn. Everyone looked awesome and it was just like first year again. Can you believe that was 5 years ago? Some things never change : )
Anyway, i crashed so early last night but there's no way i'm getting sick now. I am the last man standing and i won't go down! Hope you all feel better REALLY SOON and Aneil, go see LOTR! It ROX.::

well the 9-6 is getting to me. not just in the form of body aches and fatigue but i need a better perspective on life. i can't let work get me down! it's just funny how people resemble cattle in the am. anyway, things are actually good :D I'm happy, chilled out, enjoying life. the toffenut latte is good, a bit sweet, but still yummy every now and again. ::
::i have to say i went to the best raptors game this year. not only did we kick butt, we got pizza for it too. vince was of course still out but heck we didn't even need him. Mel and i went nuts with our balloon thingys and drove brandie and lior nuts :D thanks symantec!
yesterday i fell seriously ill with chills, nausea, fatigue and dizziness. thank goodness for alpa who took me home and my ma who fed me and tucked me right in. i seriously slept right through til morning. this morning i got up at about 4am and was in and out of consciousness til I had to get up for work. i feel much better this morning so hopefully I will learn how to take it easy at work and not succumb to the rest of the sickies at the office.

::just got back from a day in the city with erica. we had to go and stalk her boyfriend george strobanopouloupouloupoulis, do a little shopping, drink a little beer... it was so damn cold we spent most of our time hanging out in chapters and then the firkin pub that has bombay specialties and cute gay waiters.
work has been very fun. the stress level has gone up but like mel and i say... its just software! the highlight of the week was when our pod planned tsmi's bday surprise, then CC'ing her on it - oops: who was that! friday was roti day - island foods is great.
also caught up with ricky and some HS friends. we met up at Bymark (designed by my very own bro's company, very NY) where the suits were plentiful and drinx were ridiculously expensive. it was really fun despite the erratic snowstorms and lack of planning. it was all about spontenaety.

man, work has gotten crazy bizzy, which is a good thing but its also stressing me out. I need to get on those benefits so i can get the massage therapy. my shoulders are killing me. but we got ice cream cake today for tsmi's bday. mmm... so damn good. the pizza yesterday was also money: brocolli and sundried tomatoes! i am convinced they are fattening us up to cook and eat. its gross.

::I definitely ended up drinking a little more bubbly and vino than necessary at the leadership awards. Mel and I sure liked that white wine! Afterwards we went to Crocodile Rock (I now own a cougar passport... hangs head in shame) and then Indian Motorcycle. We really didn't even stay since our hotel was calling our names. Alpa and I stayed up way too late ordering pizza and watching BAD tv.
I was so tired for our training but they did an amazing job of making it fun. It seemed like everyone and their dog won an Xbox and money (except for me of course). Good thing i took the best nap EVER yesterday evening and even got street meat (veggie dogs) on the way home. Gotta go, train to catch!::
::Softchoice launch has begun. We started off at the bar across the street from the hotel and watched a little hockey/basketball/football and drank a little beer then headed off to the Beer Market. The band was horrible and the crowd was even worse! Still the Softchoice ladies had fun and did a little dancing. I did find a cute girl to go home with and we had a soiree a trois.
ITonight is the semi formal. I'm excited to dress up and drink some vino! For now, lots of water and maybe a little shopping with the seattle folk is in the plan.::

although i've had to work this holiday I still feel content and chilled out. I'm not really looking forward to work getting crazy again but it's time I got my ass in gear. Speaking of which, today I have plans to try out the new runners. Healthy eating also starts today; I can no longer use the "start tomorrow/start next year" excuse. Oh chocolate... I will miss u.
I also hope to go skiing or boarding soon. I may as well enjoy the winter while its here. Anyone wanna go? ::
