| january 31, 2002 we were sitting in the computer lab yesterday when we discovered that you can't use swears in your msm name. although "breasts" makes the cut. haha... anyway, i'm pretty tired this morning. i saw ingi at the bomber yesterday! apparently the tanya tango is such a hit that the bartenders all know this drink by name now. it still doesn't beat the weavers shooter deal tho. work sux. but its snowing! ok that's it. time to take school a bit more seriously. still, i did just get an email from a recent graduate giving advice to have as much fun as possible while you can because the real world is all downhill. what a dilemma. |

| january 30, 2002 hehe. i am so smart. SMRT. i sent out a mass email saying our submission due date is february 31st. riiight. i feel like soup again. my roommates made soup yesterday - mmm. miso hungry! i slept in for class this morning. but i still made it in time for quarry's amazing lecture - phew! its not my fault tho, they should know not to make a class (or anything) start at 8:30. did i ever mention our bionic sea monkeys? we think sandy is feeding them anabolics. i'm waiting for them to be taller than me any day now. it just amazes me how huge these things are. |

| january 29, 2002 wow that was like a whole week without email or internet! a nice little break from reality but it's tuff to be back. christi and i found what heaven must look like @ red. the powder was like nothing i've ever seen in my life dude! and our auzzie hosts were the nicest people on earth. such cute couples - they gave me the warm and fuzzies. as did the tim tams with milo... mmm! we did nothing but ride every single day from open to close. so sleepy now since my dumb flight didn't get here til 6:30am, some 7 hours late. on the plus side i had those little planes where you go down the stairs straight onto the runway, how fun is that? mmm... so sleepy and sore. aw, i was biking home today when i spotted dr. globus with his wifey. what a cutey couple too. i dunno why i'm such a sucker for cutie couples but it just makes me happy and gives me hope for luv. ok, so enuf cheeze. who am i and what have i done with the real luen? |

| january 20, 2002 well there goes another wkend in the blink of an eye... didn't do too much since old ppl typically don't. we saw the cannes ad fest at the princess which was really funny. i make chris fader proud. saturday was such a write off - thanks a lot sandy. but i did get half my laundry done - wooooha. christi and taryn's farewell pyjama party was very fun despite my extreme lethargy. only one person had his pj's hehe... poor sucker. i kicked assteroids at the drinking game, then euchre thanks to my advisor garret, then continued my winning streak at the shuffleboard table. almost peed myself laffing watching steph balance on the exercise ball, then crashed. shannon made her famous pancakes this morning - yum. we took the long way home but made it before noon. i am soooo lazy right now i can't even think about doing work. i think i will attempt to run instead. ps: i'm not one to gossip but rumour has it that stud eric tchao has a myriad of lady followers. but you don't have to believe everything you see and hear. |

| january 18, 2002 i'm s'posed to be developing a database right now - boooourns. yesterday was such a stressful day i almost had a nervous breakdown and torched the registrars office for being so difficult. grr! wow, i can't believe how much its snowing! which means some lucky guy out there is having an amazing snowmobiling time. purrrrfect weather to walk in too... booooourns to slush. i guess i should get my ass in gear and start work. | january 16, 2002 soo sleeepppyyy... today has been the longest day ever. dumb accounting and bioprocessing. booooo-uurns! presentations were pretty boring. but why do i love shaggy hair??? oh art : ) last night was our house dinna. it was yummy as always... and too much food and wine as aways. we went to see a beautiful mind too, which was good but long. i liked it tho, his ending speech brought a tear to my eye. but i'm too man to cry of course. yum, hot chocolate... and then i hit the hay with my true love.... oh bed! i love you! beeeee mine! |

| january 14, 2002 i don't know why the later a class starts the later you get there. so now that my first class is at 1:30... yeah. yay, the c&d is open again! its all about the little things. like buzzelli's pickles! haha. weekend flew. stayed in and played cranium on saturday and had a pow wow with becky. i luv sleepovers! {2 this wkend!} christi and i just hung out at chapters on sunday. man they make the best pb and chocolate squares. and lattes... mmm lattes... so many books, so little time. went to steve and alisa's for his bday thing, which quickly turned into a nintendo competition what with tan, our BMo super mario champ. i'm soo sleepy now. sooo excited to go boarding now! |

| january 12, 2002 i love being friends with mel. always sucked into volunteering for stuff, with lots of benefits on the side of course (m&m's!). so we ended up as selling glow stix last night at the big chill, which aside from the thousand + frosh was a nice change of music and a pretty interesting venue. relief to see kristian, aneil, eric, craig et al. who were the only other ppl with "97" student id's. fun things i've done in our student center's great hall over the yrs: drink beer openly, dance in strobe lights to house, jungle, hiphop... ROCK, smoke, ultimate friz, redass, make a human pyramid, sat in every single chair, and finger painted. so i hear the brunny trip was a smashing time, but survivor was really edge-of-my-seat too. yay ethan! mmm baileys! Goal for today (yes, its almost 4pm) is to do nothing. Right now i'm listening to the ramones spidey song and the orange country sdtrk. not bad. but sandy's mixing records too so its a big jumble of music. reddy for another round o mario kart. |

| january 9, 2002 ow! i fell biking to school this morning since i didn't realize the second ice hage had come. why was i biking? well i was late for a class i couldn't get into anyway and now i've got a bruck knee. i'm a loser. then i had about 40 pounds of stuff to lug around all day since i took a visit to the bookstore and had all my gym stuff in my bag too. i hate the PAC. it is so dumb. signing up for an eliptical may as well be a new varsity sport. i was so exhausted that i went straight to bed when i got home and fell asleep before i could get up and turn off the lights once again. sandy was watching "quest for fire" when i got in. v. primitive, v. funny! i've actually been sleeping better than ever since i got back from montreal. |

| january 8, 2002 first day at my new job. it should be fun working here especially since its less than 50 steps from the paper tree {i counted on the way home}. my first day at school was a bit of a frenzy. i almost forgot to go to my msci class only to walk in late to see the nerd headquarters of canada. i guess i'll fit in quite well then hyuk... frankly i prefer nerd than geek cuz nerd implies some high level of intelligence. ok so i'm a geek. whatever. better than dork... now my room is fully equipped. inflatable chair (the ONLY thing i own that's inflatable), snowboard, and most importantly my spinning car lamp! better run; i have back to back class. no idea how i'm going to get from UW to WLU in 10 mins. |

| january 6, 2002 we're back! driving since 4am, i crashed and burned when i got home {with the lights on surprisingly}. here's a summary of the trip: who: thomas, kenneth {see also}, the illanoians felicity and lisa, and moi {with a jenny j on the top} what: road trip to montreal, decided the night before we left when i got home from the bomber when: left thursday morning. got there thursday night for some fouf fun. lunched in the crescent street area on friday with the bourgeoisie {jen, kenneth and jake}, roamed mont royale at 2am - oh memories, mass at notre dame saturday, went skating along the st. laurent under lightly falling snow, danced our foufs off all night and a ended with a philosophical drive home this morning. {with a lot of sleeping in nico's bed in between} where: nico's apartment, situated conveniently in my second favourite city in canada - thanx thoma u rock why: why not? how: kenneth's silver bullet packed full to the brim good times. pictures to come. i'm not ready to start school tomorrow. i guess no one is ever ready to start school though. i guess i should check my schedule. the new year is off to a bit of a crazy start but there's a whole year to get my act together still. i'm working on it. for now, back to bed. |

| january 5, 2002 not much time to write but i wanted to do a satellite update. so i finally made it to montreal! we�re about to leave for the club so this will have to be kwik. the french keyboard has been annoying to email with but we�ve made do. and i think i will leave the accents in for effect. i wonder if my classes miss me?? hehe.i�m so bad. oh well, its been fun. i will write more when i get back. which will be in about 20 hours. yay! i miss my bed! altho nicos (communal) bed is a close second. see you all soon! |

| january 3, 2002 my head hurts a little this morning. sooo... i probably just won't go to class! last minute i've decided to go on a little road trip bomber last night was really fun and revived from last term's sorry state. so far the new year has been all about fully and completely indulging. disgusting, in that feel good kind of way. at the same time natalia, annie and i went to the pac yesterday for some hardcore exercise - 500 cal on the eliptical baby! a necessary evil. we came home and headed straight for the bailey's ice cream. so the new year is more about going hard or going home. whatever, i'm resolving to not resolve. Amelie was seriously one of the sweetest movies i've ever seen. she's so darn cute! |

| january 1, 2002 i'm re-arranging my room right now and i've walled myself in! just me and the computer buah ha ha. i have basically spent the last week reading, watching movies, & going for dessert lots. snowboarding + thai + ??? rocked. it was a big tease tho cuz now i crave to carve... ooooh - bring it on Scrabble. i'm so anxious to ride again. its like a drug baby. i went to see the burlington light festival. very pretty but we all know waterloo park is better :) anyway, LOTR was so fuh-mazing. Also saw the Hudsucker Proxy, New Waterford Girl, America's Sweethearts, Pride and Prejudice, James Bond, and Human Traffic was fuh-larious too. i finally used my gift certificate and went for a volcanic clay body wrap - ahhh! imagine being slathered in black goop then bundled in a cocoon of seran wrap and tarp. very weird but fun. new years was very chill too. my mum and i got drunk off champagne and watched chick flix all night. good times. started my day (and year) off right with brunch. ah sandy the new roomie rox! first thing he did was crack open a beer when he got up. well, i guess real life starts again soon. so would you ppl hurry up and get back here cuz i miss you. and my clothes need a home! HNY y'all! |
