Becky's farm is so pretty! I can't wait to go up in the summer for hayrides...

We ate so many egg salad sandwiches yesterday that I think I'm lookin like an egg... (a pickled egg
ingrid?) I hated missing work so much yesterday because look at me now! I'm certain that my desk will never be clear.
Yay, it's payday! Which means that I should celebrate by eating lots of sushi. Then again, I don't really need an excuse to eat sushi...

But the verdict is in. I'm giving up both Beer AND Coffee for Lent. I don't know how far this is going but it's worth a try. It might end up being only one of the above but we'll see how strong my willpower is. So if I'm a bitch over the next while, well, it's just because I'm a bitch sometimes... no need to make excuses.

He he,
Karen, we don't get any earthquake excitement up here in Canada!

It's the strangest thing how one day things can be so normal and the next your whole life has changed. Becky, you probably won't be reading this anytime soon but I love you and I'll always be Tom's replacement for you.
I think I'm really starting to become old. Weddings, Births and Deaths... you'd just think that the Deaths part would come last. Not recently it hasn't.
Foxy's party at the "Bari Puglia" was pretty good except it was strange to be the only sober one. And the Madison was fun but reminded me of that movie "Labyrinth". We must've walked through that house 50 times before realizing that our friends were in a hidden room in the depths of the earth. I've also decided that Nicola is the cutest drunk ever.
Did anyone remember me saying that the whole Timmy's habit has got to go? Well, my body misinterpreted the info. It's gone into Tim Hortons overdrive. Experts call it the Timmy's Diet. This one looks serious.

I'm never drinking again! Famous last words yes, but I'm seriously considering giving it up for Lent. At the very least not on a weeknight... I'm so foolish. Speaking of Lent, I'm also giving up coffee. This is not my final decision yet but it would be sooo good for my body.

I'm finally starting to yearn for summer. I've only recently started to even appreciate winters and being on the mountain BUT... as I look pastier and pastier as the days go by I really just want the sun to come back.

So me and Hotsy have found ourselves in the same predicaments... hehe. Hotsy if you read this you'll have to email me an update of the Bday event and what gift you went with...

I'm turning into the biggest movie guru in the world. And yet, I still haven't seen survivor! Or temptation island for that matter! Maybe next week I'll join Becky and her household in their "ritual". I feel so out of the loop! Anyway, shopping tomorrow!!! I'm so damn excited because I haven't been in so long. SOOOOO long. For clothes that is. It's been so long people must be thinking I'm living in the '80s! Nothing much else going on otherwise...

Nice rant on the 19th
Ingi.
What's up with my friends these days? They just looove to read way more into my life than what's really happening. Seriously now, what the heck guys? When you all tell me what's going on I believe you! It's like you all suddenly got your PhD's as psychoanalysts! ha...!
Anyway, this distance ed stuff is starting to haunt me. Had to stay at my desk for lunch to finish the stoopid assignment and that's just not cool. But work is a regular circus in the CRM Systems team with our web guys and their office games. It's pretty amusing hearing who broke out into the national anthem in the last meeting :)

Watched Armageddon last night. Either someone was chopping onions or Aaron has a soft spot for father/daughter moments! he he... I was a pathetic tearful case myself though; let me warn any Pres. Choice product fans - the Spicy Montego Jerk sauce is the perfect thing for a searing and flaming tongue. I kid you not, this shit is HOT.

I just got back from Chapters. Tanya, we are this close to paradise... Right now, all I want is to go to bed. But alas, Organizational Behavior calls...
February 18, 2001

I can't believe all the nights I've missed out on such a good thing. Sleep has been good. I went to bed when I got home from work and slept til 2:30 Saturday afternoon. So naturally I'm more tired than I've ever been. Watched this interview with Bill Gates on CNBC. I must say the man is set and actually handles it quite well. I have yet to read his book that the company gave me but we saw a way better one at
Chapters the other day. It was called IBM and the Holocaust. I'd say that will outsell Gates' Business @ the Speed of Thought anyday.

Yes, I agree I've got to stop talking about my work. The brainwashing is SO in full effect if you haven't already noticed. But in all honesty, they really treat us like gold here and I'll give credit where credit is due. Although if I didn't have to be here at the office right now, I don't think I would be...

What a krazy week its been. Work has been a bit too meeting oriented for my liking this week but one thing about my meetings here at MS is that I'm not invited unless I'm involved. So they aren't nearly as boring as what I'm used to. But still, it just makes you so behind on everything! The company meeting was fun, I liked the X-box presentation with all the reference to "The Matrix"; nice dub-overs! I also liked the beer and food part, just remind me not to do that too often because I left work and couldn't even drive home and when I got home I had to go straight to bed.

I watched Gladiator last night. What a great movie! No wonder it's up for all those awards. I'm sad that I'm not in Boston right now but I really don't think I could've done it physically. I haven't been home all week and now my body is paying for it.

I had a really chillin Valentines day though, considering I don't really believe in Vday. I ate the biggest salmon fillet I've ever seen and drank more wine. I'm noticing that I drink every single day. And eat out every single day. Not only will I be broke by the end of the term but I'll be fat and drunk too! (But wait, why am I single?) This weekend is dedicated to sleep and distance ed. And next week I've been sworn to watching survivor. Because I'm apparently the only remaining human to not have seen it yet. Or temptation island for that matter. Happy reading week kids! PS: I love u
ingi!
February 14, 2001

Today is the most tired I've been at work. The entire team is "working from home" today and frankly I should be too. Got home way too late after watching Saving Silverman which was not nearly as funny as I'd heard. I had to cancel my tickets to Boston this weekend because I just don't have the time to go - sorry Jenny. Work is becoming ridiculous and there's no way I could take Monday off.

I think I'm gonna download Office XP, and maybe Whistler today. But enough shop talk, last night I had coq au vin for dinner. I just wanted to say that I tasted coq. And it was good, very juicy. Am I disgusting anyone? Probably. And for the record, Karen, Ingrid was so obviously referencing you with that statement. You even have other people to vouch for it! So there... Ingi I like your latest update. It's so cute. And I'm so tired...

I think I'm going to eat French cuisine tonight.

I have to rephrase a previous entry. What I really meant was that Harry Potter books are for the
imaginative mind. (Thanx Amisha!) I attempted to go into the office and ended up at Chapters, cuz I've been neglecting my reading.
Well so far the things I planned to do this term are actually sticking. Spending my weekends on mtns and reading - and NOT textbooks for the record...

My poor body... (see below)! ouch.
February 10, 2001 (already!)

I've decided that trees have discovered how to hit ppl. I've been whacked by 2 in the last 2 days. That' snot a coincidence. (ha ha I said 'snot')... they're out to get me! I seem to be in a bad luck phase in general. I keep fucking up at work and although these things are not altogether my fault I feel horrible about my sheer idiocy. It all started with Emma's list, then I approved a MS newsletter that got sent to 5000 ppl which had graphics that weren't on the server. Then Aaron and I hit 2.5 hours of traffic between Hwy 10 and Hwy 400 and had to drive to Lora's cottage ('camp' to those north of Parry Sound) in freezing rain. I must say that part was fun b/c we watched 2 movies and got lost on the way (American Pie and What Lies Beneath FYI). On that note, I still have to see the ending of the latter, even after 2 attempts.

But to continue on my bad luck streak, Steve just had to warn me not to hit any trees this weekend. And I didn't, but as I was riding merrily along on the country road this mother Pine came out of nowhere and hit my snowmobile, throwing it into a huge snowbank! Then Jeff took the Jeep to tow the thing out and got the Jeep stuck in the snow. So all the guys got into Connie's car to try and push the Jeep out and got
that stuck going up the hill... Let's just say that only alcohol in large quantities and a hot tub could make us feel better. Our team offsite meeting was not very productive needless to say, not to mention the power failure the backup generator not kicking in. See? Having a million dollar cottage isn't always a good thing... yeah. Seriously, Lora is my inspiration. Her cottage was the nicest thing I have ever set foot in.

Tom's party last night was fun. Me and the girls were adorable in Holly's homemade costumes ...I can't wait til we get the pix back. Especially since I was out cold for a good chunk of the night and don't remember too much thanks to Becky's ultra-yummy space balls!

The drive home from the LOO this morning was not too bad either. Then Rachel and I hit up Moonstone for some icy riding. I think since the tree only hurt the snowmobile the day before, it took another shot and got me in the hip while I was on a back country run. Ok, so I'm a klutz! And thoroughly exhausted. This 7am - 3am week is ending NOW. I'm going to sew my bed onto my back so that I never do this to myself again!

After next week, I'm taking a looong break from road trips. Aside from a serious case of car-ass, the fast food diet is starting to make me sick. I am single-handedly driving the McD & Timmy Ho stock through the roof.
February 6, 2001

Hi everybody! Yay, I finished my DB Marketing Flash! I think I deserve sushi for that...
February 6, 2001

Well, I've lost my virginity... my 'visiting-
Ottawa' virginity that is! And man was my first visit to the nations capital a cold experience (not unlike...) ANYWAY, it was really fun. I slept the entire car ride up there. It was a bit of a disgusting time in my life since we basically ate junk food, drank beer, then visited the Hershey's chocolate factory on the way home.
I can finally tell my grandchildren that I've skated on the Rideau Canal and eaten Beavertails...! altho I'm not too certain I'll even have grandkids... or even kids for that matter. How can 'one' have kids if they don't have a husband? Some words of wisdom: Bring your own skates, for to rent them there is to cost you your firstborn (not this children issue again - see above). Other words of wisdom:

Gonorrhea or Arthritis?...
Everyone get up, we have an animal's rear appendage to eat... [
Mike]: Well if you put it that way...
And later: Gonorrhea, or never eat chocolate ever again?...
And later still: Oh my gosh, I could strip down and bathe nekked in those giant vats of melted chocolate! (That's how good it looked, honest!)

We club and pub hopped to The Heart and Crown, The Cabin, Mercury Lounge, Zaks diner, Molly's, Burger King... And a fond word-up to the best hostess in the whole world: Mel. Hun, you deserve every bit of that balloon and phone book! Mel, U + Me = Us! I know my Calculus!

Work today was crazy. Or should I say work yesterday is crazy. Because I'm still doing it now! I think my bed has grown arms and is pulling me into it! This is going to be the longest 3-day week of my life!

PS: Rachel has a 'chubby' boyfriend! Rachel has a 'chubby' boyfriend! ha ha ha...

Society is fat.
February 2, 2001

Happy Groundhog Day! Working late last night was worth it I suppose. At least I feel better about all my projects and distance ed too. I went for lunch with Rachel yesterday... SUSHI! I have a feeling that now that we found such a close sushi joint to my work we will be spending way too much money and time in there... Rach, you're a stud lets face it! Even Chaba seems to think so hahaha!

Good news, my meeting got moved to an earlier time today. Which means I can take off for OT ASAP! Who has a meeting from 3:30 to 4:30 on a friday anyway? Waterloo was not alright this week. Weavers was a krazy scene - too bad it was all first years... and annoying drunk people (Becky you know who I mean). Memorable moments from that night:
"Stop... or I'll FAN you!" Ha ha ha hah!! That would be me imitating Tanya with 'Mr. Green'...
It was good to see my Juli again although we didn't exactly get to hang out and catch up or anything.

I saw
Traffic this week. I must say I really liked it, despite my unfondness of Michael Douglas. Man is his wife ever beautiful. Especially considering how pregnant she was! But excellent cinematography, plot, everything...

Alright.. got to run. Let the meetings begin.... then its Ottawa (mothers lock up your politician sons! - eww!)
