::Wasabi! This week has been ugly. If it wasn't for the funnies and the people at work i think i'd jump out the window. We had the funniest middle aged guy from Mississauga present at the Oki data mindshare who told us he was "straight out of compton." All his jokes reminded me of the dad in American Pie. tee hee.
And there's a whole new meaning to "everyone and thier dog was at the meeting". Poocherella always attends the same meetings as me. We love having her there despite her previous gas problem.
Softchoice had 2 beercarts this week! Woo hoo... I feel like they're inducing the alcoholism. Hey all you stress cases, how about a beer! Oh well I'm not complaining.
We went to the spherical arts for drinks after work yesterday. It was a good time. I think I like that place because of the pimp couches and pool tables (and the pimp girl I went with with a pimpin' cane.)
My ma called me at 8am to meet her for brunch today. So much for sleeping in!::

work is back to its stressful self and its only tuesday! the US central pod is down 2 people so the phones have been going nuts. It's been so crazy that I transferred a call to my own extension yesterday - AHAHAHA! Good thing it was Aneil calling to say wassabi and to let me know his Toronto plans this weekend. You liked that one didn't you goks?
As with mostly everyone, things are slow. Everyone's hoping summer will come. It's too cold to go out right now. Work is crazy busy... The combination of these factors don't make for anything exciting to talk about.

::Last night the gurls of US Central (and Alpa our unofficial pod member) got together for Sex and the City night with nachos, wine, chocolate... it was sooo fun! And yes, the pillow fights in our underwear were great. Wendy has such a beautiful home!
It did make for a pretty late night though and I was late this morning for training, which was almost brutal because they make us do embarassing things. At least everyone else was late too - i hate traffic! Mel you know what I'm talking about! Speaking of, Melly are you ok? I feel like I haven't talked to you in years! I hope your leg (and the rest of you) are well.
Training has been fun and its almost over. They showed us the music video our president made rapping to Eminem in a wifebeater. It was hillarious! I also won Softchoice Jeopardy! Yeah yeah...
As for all you hard working people... (steve, karen, ingi, aneil, eric, craig, meesha, everyone in my pod...) I hope you aren't all working to the bones as to not be enjoying life in the meanwhile! I know it's a tuff time: Performance is critical! You guys are all rockin the casbah::
::what an exciting weekend we spent with our bride to be. We got together on Friday night at Holly's for champagne and then to watch Reg and Matt's band play at Bsides. There ended up being so many friends who came out to hear Booster Squad play and we did a little drinking (mostly Becky) and dancing... little did we know that Tom caught us on video! how embarassing! Musa was amazing brunch to cure Becky's hangover on Saturday morning.
It was really fun, but really scary shopping for wedding dresses with Becky. I guess we're not that young anymore but I somehow imagined my friends being mature and serious with jet set careers when the time came. Much to my relief we're all still kids at heart and spent the weekend watching cheezy movies, having drinks and laughing. It's going to be such a beautiful wedding that I'm afraid how badly I will cry!
I finally got me a new pair of shoes yesterday! You must all be relieved that you don't have to be seen in public with my old, scuffed up platform raver boots. Still, those guys lasted me through some good walks in the snow in the Waterloo days. I am now back to being just over 5'2" and proud! It was one of the most fun shopping days I've had, followed by ass kicking cajun pizza at Alice Fazooli's (I am the coupon queen!) I also gave in and started on the summer skirt purchases... oops! meanwhile its -20 tonight...
I'm in Softchoice 101 all week for training. bah humbug. Still, it's a nice break from the everyday and its cool to meet my fellow new hires. Plus they put out lego and play doh and nerf guns at our tables to keep people with ADD occupied. It's saved me from falling asleep many times already::
::Howdy doody! I've been lazy on the updates, its true. However work has been tres busy and stressful so the last thing i want to do is get on the computer when i get home. And there certainly hasn't been time during the day.
We've had mindshare's up the wazoo, which would've been cool cuz of the lunch all week. But, mcoo and I got the shaft every day since we take lunch at 1... by the time we got there there was no food left! Those vultures! I was especially ticked off on Tuesday when we got stirfry of all food. Oh well.
Driving to work is pretty cool. It is rather sad that I am now one of those single driver cars that's contributing to the depletion of the ozone and such but the convenience and time it saves me is hard to resist. I've decided to talk to people in my office to find out who I can carpool with so it's not so bad. Plus, on high smog days I promise to take the GO.
Went to the Keg Mansion last night for the first time. It was pretty cool atmo but the food was like any other Keg. Supposed to be haunted but I didn't see any Masey family ghosts - phew!. happy friday!::
::Yay, boogie is mine! that's what i've named my car. djen came to pick me up from work and we took her to the car wash, kind of a "hand over the keys" activity. The funny thing is if you were in the GTA tonight you will laugh at me as we just got poured on. very funny murphy!
The weekend was nice and relaxing compared to last. I started off by doing a tiny bit of shopping. I feel that my finances are in grave danger since the summer clothes are all coming out and are so awesome. I love summer!! Summer dresses and patios... whee!
Went to dim sum yesterday for Chinese New Year. I thought it was greasier than normal (Emerald) but still it was fun, especially introducing Steve to the dim sum experience. I'm still sad about the poor fish my mum made them catch and steam :(
Went to see Confessions of a Dangerous Mind too. Not the best movie ever but it had some unique twists that made it pretty unexpected. i really want to see 25th hour now. ooh, and matrix - wooo! exciting times in the movie world.
This morning I got into a psycho elevator that started going up and down and not stopping at any floor. It was scary! Lucky for me this hottie in the elevator saved us from getting stuck in there by prying open the doors - pheew::
