had a hard time sleeping last night which sucked even more when i had to get up at 7:30 this morning. still, the fact that there's a timmy's right outside our classroom helps lots. rrrroll up the rrrim baby. i won a muffin yesterday.
i think my computer is in trouble. apparently my OS is expiring and i have a huge bCentral database residing on my computer that I don't want to lose. plus it keeps making grinding noises and freezing. i wish i knew a bit of hardware or at least had a tekkie geek around to help me fix it. ooh, not to mention morpheus being down.
anyvey, life is boring at the present. i need to pick a good band for april 4th but looking at our budget it might be marty headlining : ) nah just kidding. i'm sure we'll end up with someone good.

better go. have to practice my presentation for biopro.
ps: got my grad ball tix today... eep, we're old!! it would be funny if i don't even graduate...

in case you're wondering, the horn tooting went on til about 2am. pretty crazy huh? this is what i was told anyway since i heard none of this noise. i fell asleep at 7pm last night only waking up once for the phone. patriotism rox!!

a perfect end to a great week! no one called the winning score for the game but still... WE WON! yeha. the latter part of reading week was spent building up to today's climactic moment in history. and such a beautiful day.
friday afternoon started out as a big upset when we found out the bomber was closed for the week. morons! our ideal hockey venue was crushed so we moved the party to mcGinnis for the Belarus sweep. then we got 'swept' watching the men's curling at mel's place.. sad day for our k-mart. at night mel, tan, corey and i got prettied up and checked out the flying dog - hello cougars! why did we get hit on by guys wearing sunglasses late at night in a dark bar? still, a great time with the ladies.
i had such a hard time getting out of bed yesterday  to meet the girls to 'study' and when i finally did all i brought was my bike (no books, no bag, no brain...). so we decided we needed to make t-shirts for the big game. they turned out so well we may have to go into business. at night we dropped into reg/crash/foxy/dougie's place and watched sk8/sn0-board vids, played some fooze and read some playboy. i may as well get my name changed to Billybob or something sheesh. that place is a haven for substance abuse my goodness.

oooh, i also learned how to play badminton this week. my awesome 'coach' tells me it's in my asian genes to be good at the sport but i'm not so sure batting at the air and running around everywhere means you're good. really fun i must say!

so anyway, i just got in from standing in the middle of king street with the friesen brothers. what a great feeling amidst the tootin horns, waving flags, hi-fives and cheering. i lubs canada! thx brucey for having us over to watch the game. what a great time. man, i wonder how late the horns are gonna go on til tonight?!! almost 9pm, still going strong.

hey there. yuck, i've gotten a little taste of the co-op life once again. working somewhat FT hours this week has been not too bad actually aside from my eyes going buggy from staring at the computer screen for so long. the telephone soliciting is kind of funny: "we'd like your sexpertise on the software..."
anywho, steve made us the bomb stir-fry (YUMM) yesterday while the raptors lost another. we saw John Q, which was pretty good cuz denzel is amazing and the little boy was so darn cute. caught the end of the canada game which was rough on the nerves. yay canada but wayy too close for comfort.

so i should prolly start doing a bit of school work since i have a bajillion projects due after 'reading' week. ORR... i could watch more movies and lounge around s'more. hmm.. its a tuff decision.

can you believe its almost the end of feb? the weekend was the perfect ending to the week of heck. really hard midterms and feeling like death on v-day was making for a really horrid week... then friday rolled around and off we headed to hotson's cottage: F2! (Farmerlude II) was the best lounging time ever. We played every board game in the book and I finally learned Settlers of Catan. I'm officially a geek! but mike and tom are so over the edge with tanny following closely in their footsteps... GG-enter. hahaha... and hot tubs, booze, sooo much chips... it was almost perfect except we missed a few key ppl. it was such a chillin time. until we got lost on the way home but never mind, we'd always wanted to visit stratford anyway. i hit up my parents place for a little grub and laundry and caught the aftermath of our hockey victory in burlington. what a great weekend!

this week is supposed to be a catch up with my homework week but if that doesn't happen i won't cry. i have some movies to catch up on after all. anyway, i guess i'd better get back to work. after anjana and i read a bit of cosmo first that is...

so mel and i went to the zoo yesterday, also known as davis center. ridiculous. people sitting on the floors! so we ended up studying in bugs with our "make your own" desk. we've also started the funny words wall, which is funny words we've come across while studying (ie gonads). people kept coming in thinking we were looking at porn pictures but it was really mel's weirdo course on reproduction. haha... there was a picture of male/female genitalia. and i mean both on the same human! Kind of like that episode of friends where brad pitt starts a rumour about rachel having a "nubbin". very entertaining.
Sympathy to people out there who feel that they need to do something for valentines day. Where if you don't get your girl something you're a jerk but if you do you're a huge cheezeball. I figger if you're madly in love with someone they should know this every day of the year.

hey aneil, word up and welcome to the web.
happy chinese new year everyone. it's my year (or
our year as some insist), year of the horse! i got my red packages from my parents this weekend... well timed (damn student loan center). hey, but not only is it chinese new year but its also pancake tuesday. i don't even want pancakes but i think i will make dumplings or something for dinner.

hmm. so the big question is what to give up for lent... here is my potential list:
-swearing
-booze and/or other substances
-homework (oh wait, i already did that)

back from maw and paw's. with too much food as usual as my dad never thinks i eat enough. is this a common dad thing? anyway, i also can never get enough sleep in that house... napping til 5pm. must be the bed.

haven't started studying this weekend yet and the stress is building up.
friday night we watched the opening ceremonies for the
olympics with baileys and hot choc... surprisingly not as cheezy as expected; i actually liked the native touch. but enuf of U2 capitalizing on Sept 11 patriotism - geez.
the ortho and dentist appointments went surprisingly well. i'm probably the only person i know that actually likes going to the dentist because it makes me feel cleeeean. i'm shocked... no new cavities being the candy junkie that i am. i would IV chocolate if that were allowed. hey, then my teeth wouldn't even be affected... i think i'm onto something here.
spent the rest of the day sleeping, eating, reading (finished the alchemist), and watching movies. study time!

mi don't like that parking attendant guy. what a meanie!

well i think i'm heading out.
rach how come i didn't know about your page man??
february 8, 2002

my first time watching TI2 was half funny half sad. I think it's a huge waste of beautiful costa rica on a bunch of strippers and players. "i've never felt such a connection with someone i've only known for 3 weeks..." but what can i say i sat through all of it and still had a good time in good company (those sweet, seductive, unit 11 girls).

we (well becky and tom really) made banana, yogurt, and grapefruit smoothies this morning. not bad at all... much more filling than yesterday's juice but i don't see this juice cleansing thing going too far. what can i say i'm weak willed when it comes to food....

another week almost gone by. i contemplated dropping out of school a few times over the last few days... just getting so tired of it all. maybe a short trip to home (and the dentist) will help this weekend??

viva la quick-sale rack at zehrs. so i'll probably die of some mouldy veggie disease but 69cts for tofu - dang. can't go wrong. i was introduced to a different health food store today off bridgeport. so what did i buy there? chips! damn them. but kettle chips were so cheap and all these yumm flavours... salsa mesquite? "health" food... right.

anyway, i have an advertising assignment to do right now. my subject is... President's Choice! it may seem to you as though my life revolves around food right now but it's really not the case. i just really like Prez choice products ok? not to mention their organics, 'green' products, 'memories of', financial services... mississippi mud pies too... mmm.
crackwhores with your cheese?  more pix

contrary to popular belief, luen is capable of making it past 10pm at a wine & cheese party. in fact, i took everyone by surprise made it til 2am!!! i admit i did face another intimate encounter with the plastic bag in brucey's room and my porcelain bowl but luckily i was in good hands : ) some traditions never die. i most certainly made an ass of myself and i don't even think i had 10 glasses this time. everyone in enviro-chem must think i'm such an idiot!
in any case, it was such a fun night and so worth it.
i've been studying at st. cinni all morning (afternoon technically) but this annoying lady was talking too loud and it just drove me home. plus i was hungry again. i think i will try the library next. grrr... 35 more pages to go. i am so unproductive. its superbowl sunday for pete's sake, how to study? what am i talking about, i'm not even a football fan. just need an excuse to slack off.

mel, where are you?  i need some motivation.

today ranks as the worst weather in the history of mankind. walking to school was a torture worse than death. the only thing that stopped me from blowing away was the pellets of freezing rain and the slush bonding my soaked sneakers to the ground. yea i like to overdramatize but whatever.

friday afternoon bomber club is growing although the basket o' fries are shrinking :( still for a dollar you can't go wrong.
i'll be staying in all weekend to study for my midterm on monday. i just found out about it yesterday so needless to say i'm not that prepared. but i did A LOT of reading on the plane and at the airport. except i was probably reading the same page over and over. i guess i better rock the midterm then. if only i weren't so easily distracted! whatever, its worth it.
