You are welcome to use the pictures on your desktop, and don't have to consult me about that *^_^* - What was your inspiration for Full Howl? - I don't know...maybe it was the 'Me and my Flame' story at Charizard Valley (links) Another big inspiration was Watership Down -- both the novel and the film. That, and various forms of literature. - Why did you pick an Arcanine as the main character? - Arcanine is my favourite Pokemon! As well as that, I could base bits of the story on a real-life wolf's lifestyle. Arcanine was a good choice of Pokemon. - Were you always going to use an Arcanine as the main character? Heh heh, no. Originally, when Full Howl was just a little bud in my mind waiting to blossom into a beautiful story *cough* Volans was going to be a Ninetales! It all started when I was 4 or 5 years old, and became interested in dinosaurs. Gradually, my interest in dinosaurs also became an interest in animals in general, particularly predators. So I've always liked wolves and defended them against bad press. When I first started with Pokemon, I like Arcanine instantly because of its resemblance of the wolf. I liked it from the first time I ever saw it on the theme tune and its running with that Rapidash ^_^ However, it only became my favourite Pokemon when I began writing Full Howl in October 2000. - Have you ever seen a live, wild wolfie? - Unfortunately, no. It's a fantastic book, and also a brilliant animated film, which I like to base my writing on slightly ^.^ - Besides any anime novels, what else have you written about that can be called a novel? - When I was 11, I wrote a story about a Deinonychus (a kind of predatory dinosaur). The gold gene is dominant to black but recessive to orange. If it is just a sketch, a normal HB will work just fine. If it is a shaded drawing, HB and a variety of softer B pencils will do the trick. - Arrrg!
