The Luptons have lived and worked in Stonewall for many years. In 1899 Benjamin Waldo Lupton was born to Martha Woodard and Joseph Robinson Lupton. He later would marry Beatrice "Dee" Daniels and start a family in Stonewall. He had two sons, Benjamin Waldo Lupton, Jr. and LeRoy Daniels Lupton. After his wife passed away, Ben Lupton was married to Erma Tingel. They both passed away in old age in 1994.
B. Waldo Lupton, Jr. married Dorthy Vendrick; they now live in Charleston, South Carolina. They had a son Benjamin Waldo Lupton, III (Benny), born Nov. 17, 1949 in Charleston, SC. He married Brenda Jean Thomas in 1967 and they had a son Benjamin Waldo Lupton, IV "Jay." Benny died in a car accident in 1968, his widow remaried. After Benny, Deborah Joan "Debbie" Lupton was born. She married Arthur L. Conrad and has two children, Correy and Casey. Next, Martha "Susanne" Lupton was born, she married Wray A. Lemke. Last came Elizabeth Dee Lupton "Bestsy". They all still live near Charleston and are very close.
LeRoy D. Lupton married Annabel Bland; they live in Stonewall and have two children: Leroy Daniels Lupton, Jr. "Danny", and Tony Mitchell Lupton. Danny is now married to Ellen A. Vernelson, who both still live in Stonewall. Tony is married to Ruth A. Ipock. They have three children, Rick Anthony Lupton, Josh Allen Lupton, and Kristen Maria Lupton. They also still live in Stonewall. LeRoy's family all attend Stonewall United Methodist Church and run a family-owned store, Lupton's.
