DAY ONE:
Jeff Probst was
on the edge of the speedboat as it crashes through the waves of the Caribbean
Sea. His trademark smile evident. He was excited with this new survivor. In
fact, the entire crew was excited. As the speedboat continued on, Jeff started
to speak.
“Belize. One of
the most beautiful lands in Central America is home to numerous wildlife such as
the jaguar, deer and tapir. The land is rugged as it is separated into different
areas. The plains, the swamps, the mountains and the forests. The land is also
dangerous and unpredictable as storms are occasional and are known to destroy
everything in its path including cities and towns.” Jeff spoke smiling as if
it was nothing to him. “But, it would be home to sixteen survivors as they
invoke in the adventure of a lifetime but this is much different than what they
had did before. They played the game; some have even outwitted the game and
outlasted others. Some weren’t given the chance to play the game at all but
they will all have their turn now as they play for two million dollars. This is
survivor!”
The sixteen
survivors are divided into two tribes as they rode a small military jeep. Hondo,
a river in the boundary of Belize and Mexico, contains, Susan Hawk, Richard
Hatch, Michael Skupin, Tina Wesson, Kim Johnson, Helen Glover, Lex van den
Berghe and Jeff Varner. They will always wear the color blue.
As the jeep
trekked along the bumpy road, Richard Hatch started to look at his team one by
one. Analyzing, strategizing, knowing and seeing who has the capacity and
capability to get him far. Richard has been the original winner, the original
manipulator and the inventor of alliances and that what makes him the more
dangerous and more prominent to be the first one off.
But, no. Richard
already has a plan. He has been planning for this since he got word from Mark
Burnett that he would be participating. As he scanned through his tribe members,
he noticed one specific detail.
“We’re all
old and mature people.” Richard noted. “I don’t know what’s going on
since I haven’t seen the other tribe but we’re a tribe of old people who I
know won’t stand a chance at the more physical required challenge.”
There were other
things he also discovered and that is his potential enemies and blocks in
winning the prize money and the title once again. He placed it on his mind,
never forgetting. The three people he won’t probably start an alliance with.
Susan Hawk, Tina Wesson and Jeff Varner.
Richard knew what
strategy Tina played and how cutthroat Jeff can be and he definitely knows how a
sore loser Susan can be. Rich can feel the sting of betrayal he gave to Susan
before and he also knows that she feels the same way towards Kelly Wiglesworth.
He knew Tina played an almost flawless game just like him and he knew that Jeff
was just placed in the wrong side of the fence at that time.
“But I cannot
feel confident that I know my enemies.” Richard confides. “I just have to
see if I can work with them and if I can then that’s perfectly fine with
me.”
^^^^
The jeep finally
came to a stop at the shore of the island. The lush, beautiful island of Turneff.
First one down was Michael Skupin. His eyes browsing his new territory and he
smiled. This is going to be his new island from now on.
Second down was
Tina Wesson. Her cheerful smile present as always as she hugged Michael. She was
soon followed by Jeff Varner who hugged the two survivors there as they started
to have a little conversation.
Kim Johnson
appeared next. Looking nervous and at the same time anxious, she smiled and
looked at her tribe. Lex followed after Kim as the two competitors hugged each
other and started to talk as well.
Susan Hawk came
next as she looked proud and ready to take charge in battle. Helen Glover then
came next as she received a warm hug from Susan and Tina.
Then at last, the
big man came out of the boat. Richard Hatch. Susan’s eyes darted at the big
man who gave her a quick hug and hello. Everyone was staring at Richard as he
immediately took off his shirt and began to get to know everyone at his tribe.
^^^^
“Welcome to
All-Star survivor Belize!” Lex read, as he was the first one to see a crate
just a few feet from them. “Inside are materials that are given to you to make
your lives easier. There is a cooking pan, two machetes, three water containers
and a sack of corn mush.” Lex looked at Kim and groaned, “Not corn mush
again!”
“Anything but
rice.” Tina butted in as Jeff smiled.
Lex continued on
reading. “There is a map inside as well which will lead you to your campsite.
There would be a thorn bush around the campsite that will protect you from the
animals. The number one concern of the tribe would be the jaguars. Good luck.”
As Lex folded the
instructions and placed it back inside the crate, he took the map and stated,
“Alright then. Looks like we’re going to walk. Take any supplies you can
bring and let’s go.”
^^^^
The tribe
continued on walking. Lex was appointed to lead them; Michael and Richard
carried the most loads but didn’t talk to each other. A small gap was between
the men as the women came next. Tina and Kim were talking about their families
back home. Helen and Susan were talking about their professions and their
husbands back home. Only one was the loner of the group. Jeff Varner.
Jeff opted to
stay at the back of the line. He even insisted it stating that it might be
dangerous so he volunteered himself. But he had a different plan. He was
observing the dynamics of the tribe.
“Basically Lex
is the leader of the tribe.” Jeff stated his observations at his confessional.
“Helen and Susan are the two hardcore moms and wives back home, Tina and Kim
are the two sweet moms.” He paused to smile. “Richard has been quiet
throughout the hike but he carried the most loads and he has been a gentleman to
the ladies. Mike...what can I say about him? He feels confident about
himself.” He laughed and added, “That’s all I can say about him.”
Jeff Varner felt
confident with this tribe. He already has his plans for a long-term alliance
with one of these people. The only one person he cannot trust is no one but Tina
Wesson.
“Tina outwitted
me before.” Jeff stated. “I mean, sure, Kimmi is to blame but she was the
one who asked.” Jeff shook his head and continued, “If it wasn’t for
Tina’s sweet disposition, she would have been voted out way before.”
^^^^
Meanwhile, the
other tribe, Sarstoon, another river in the boundary of Guatemala, who will
always wear red, consist of Joel Klug, Kelly Wiglesworth, Colby Donaldson,
Lindsey Richter, Ethan Zohn, Tanya Vance, Tammy Leitner and Rob Cesternino.
Their jeep had already stopped and everyone got out of the jeep and each one
hugged each other.
Joel took the
note from the crate Hondo found at their drop point location. He read it to the
tribe, as Ethan groaned, “Not corn mush again!”
^^^^
The tribe was
trekking along when Rob Cesternino started to strategize and there is one woman
he wanted as a partner, as another Deena. And that woman is no other than Tammy
Leitner.
Kelly Wiglesworth
held on to the map as she guided the tribe safely and surely. After Kelly were
Joel, Tammy and Colby. After a short gap, the other four followed, Lindsey,
Ethan then Tammy and Rob.
Rob stopped Tammy
for a second as he watched Lindsey and Ethan talk as they went ahead. Tammy
asked, “What is it? Why’d you stopped me from walking?” Tammy wasn’t in
the mood to be stopped at anything and this isn’t her character at all.
Rob smiled and
pointed at Colby and Joel. “Just look at them. They’re possibly the two
cockiest people in the entire planet.”
Tammy smirked and
replied, “So? What does it have to do with me?”
“Just do me a
favor Tammy.”
“What?”
“Vote them
out.” Rob replied.
Tammy just smiled
and started to walk again.
^^^^
“Hey! We’re
home!” Joel shouted as the tribe started to enter the thorny bush surroundings
of camp Sarstoon. They hugged each other, congratulating each other for a job
well done and most especially to Kelly who did her role well and flawless.
Ethan then informed the tribe, “Guys, we need to strengthen the acacia thorns.”
“Ethan’s
right.” Lindsey agreed. “Last time we had this, lions almost climbed in and
we all know how jaguars can jump high.”
“This would be
a cinch for them.” Ethan noted looking at the height of the protection.
“Alright then
people.” Joel started. “If we work together and team up, we can do tasks
more easily and more faster. Colby and Ethan, the three of us would be working
on the shelter. Lindsey, Tanya and Kelly, you three would be trying to make
fire. Rob and Tammy, you’re in charge of collecting wood for protection and
fire.”
“Alright then!
Let’s move!” Colby shouted as the tribe started working their roles.
^^^^
“See how cocky
they were?” Rob asked Tammy as they were collecting wood for the tribe.
“They feel that since they’re strong individuals that they’re going to be
safe for the pre-merger events.”
“What do you
suggest we do?” Tammy asked as she tossed another chunk of wood on the pile.
Rob wiped the
sweat from his forehead and replied, “Take out Joel of course. Believe me,
I’ve been with this type before.”
“But
still...” Tammy hesitated. “I’m still not sure.”
“Just think
about it.” Rob stated whispering to Tammy. “You and me, final two people
here. We’d be the king and queen of survivor.”
Tammy shook his
head and sighed. “Whatever Rob. I’d let you know.” Tammy stated as she
scooped a huge amount of wood from the pile and went back to camp. Rob soon
followed.
The wheels of
strategy had begun; the web is starting to unfold.
HONDO TRIBE:
“The tribe is
basically working together as a group and I’m happy.” Lex van den Berghe
relates the tribal dynamics. “We divided the tasks at hand like shelter and
fire are the most important so that’s being done first. The second most
important thing is water so Rich and Sue, who strangely volunteered themselves,
to do the water run.”
Surely enough,
life at Hondo camp is a peaceful and serene one. Michael was in charge of the
fire as he tries and tries to create fire with what he learned back home and at
the seminars he attended before this trip. Tina, Kim and Helen were in charge in
making the shelter and they received help from Lex and Jeff. The five of them
were making extremely good progress as their shelter was slowly taking shape.
Meanwhile, at the
outrange of hearing of the tribe, strategy was being discussed. Richard Hatch
and Susan Hawk were looking for the water hole and at the same time they were
talking to each other.
“Our tribe is
surely and definitely a weak tribe.” Susan noted.
Richard nodded in
agreement and contradicted, “But that doesn’t mean that we can’t win.”
“Yeah sure, we can win but think about it Rich.” Susan stated. “We have a Kim on our side and that can hurt us big time.”
“What are you
trying to get here at?”
“An alliance my
dear friend.” Susan replied placing her hand over Richard’s shoulder. “An
alliance.”
“Are you sure
about this?” Richard asked getting paranoid. Susan was not like this at all.
She waits and waits for something to come up. But times can change and so does
she.
Susan nodded to
Richard’s question. “It’s like going to be old times. You know. The old
Tagi alliance. We’d get two more on our side, we’d be the unstoppable
foursome.”
Richard thought
about it for a moment and finally he reached out his hand. “Alright then. Till
the end?”
Susan shook his
hand and answered, “Till the end.”
SARSTOON TRIBE:
“Basically the
key important thing is fire.” Colby Donaldson states. “Without fire, we have
no food and clean water to drink so fire is definitely a key important factor in
this game.”
The tribe however
doesn’t have any fire started. Joel tried desperately to create fire by
rubbing two sticks together and by stones but to no avail.
However, Lindsey
had an idea. “How about using the telescope lens?” everyone looked at her as
if that was a bad idea but Lindsey quickly added, “I mean, we did it back in
Samburu, why won’t it work now?”
“That’s a
good idea.” Joel agreed. “Can anyone give me the lens please.” He stated
as Ethan took the telescope, unscrewed the lens and gave it to Joel.
Trying to
position the lens correctly, Joel looked for the sunlight. Finding it, he slowly
harnessed the heat as small sparks started forming.
“Be careful
man.” Colby stated. “Don’t fall in.,” he reminded as he remembered the
Mike incident way back in Australia.
Joel started
blowing as the fire continued on building up. And in that instant, fire was
born. “Hey guys! Give me more wood and twigs here now!” Joel shouted as the
tribe hurried to give him the wood to burn up. As fire was starting to steady
down, the tribe got excited as they screamed with delight, hugging each other in
excitement.
^^^^
“Now all we
need is water.” Tammy noted as she and the tribe started to calm down. Joel
continued on keeping the fire alive as Tammy suggested for the tribe to do the
water run together. Joel however opted to stay behind to watch over the fire.
As the tribe was
walking along, with Colby holding the map leading them towards the water hole,
Kelly was right behind him with Tammy talking to her. Rob however had a
different agenda.
“In this game
you have to be two steps ahead of your enemy.” Rob noted. “And since this is
all-star, everyone know that my comic relief is just a cover-up for my strategic
side that everyone knows about.”
Rob’s agenda
now was to talk to Lindsey and Tanya Vance. Since Lindsey was busy talking with
Ethan, Rob decided to approach Tanya first. Since they arrived at camp, Rob had
made little contact with Tanya and Tanya did the same with him but he needed her
now.
“Tanya, can we
talk?” Rob asked as Tanya smiled at him.
“Sure.” Tanya
answered still smiling. “What do you want to talk about?”
“Strategy.”
Rob honestly answered. Tanya’s smile immediately disappeared at the word. She
didn’t want to discuss strategy now so early, so soon. She wanted to play this
time around after her quick departure from Thailand but she wanted to play it a
couple of days later. She loved her tribe so much but she knows that Rob is one
of the greatest strategists of the game.
“What are you
getting at here Robby?” Tanya asked again. “Is it an offer or an
invitation?”
Rob smirked.
“Surely you know I’m not like that but if you put that way...” he stated
smiling. “Yeah sure. I’m making you an offer.”
“An offer of
what exactly?”
Rob stopped Tanya
making sure that they’re quite far from the others. He looked around to see if
anyone’s snooping and seeing no one, he answered, “To get rid of Joel.”
Tanya smiled and
shook her head in disbelief. Here she is, trying to play the game this time
around, Rob offering her an alliance and that is to get rid of someone who Tanya
had gotten along very well.
Joel and Tanya
had a great start. The moment they stepped off the jeep, they were instant
talking with each other but there are some animosities between the two. The only
thing not really that clear is why Rob wants Joel gone.
“Why exactly
Joel?” Tanya asked finally.
“Joel’s...”
Rob paused as he tried to find correct words to finish his statement.
“Joel’s just like Dave in a way. You know? The way he acts that he’s the
king and all is just irritating.”
Tanya placed her
hands on her hips and stated, “So, you’re campaigning against Joel, just how
many people have you approached already?”
“Just two.”
Rob honestly replied. “You and Tammy.”
Tanya smiled and
finally answered what Rob has been waiting for. “Sure. I’d vote with you
this time.”
^^^^
“Oh guys,
look!” Lindsey exclaimed as the tribe, minus Joel, arrived at the water hole.
Lindsey took the lid off and excitedly screamed, “Yes! Clean water!”
“No way!”
Colby reacted. “No freaking way! Are you serious?”
“I’m dead
serious here cowboy.” Lindsey replied. “We have good, clean, drinking
water.” Lindsey took that time to fill the canteens that they were carrying as
they all had a drink of water.
“Oh my gosh.
That feels so good.” Tanya stated feeling so relieved of herself.
As the rest of
the tribe gathered water, Rob pulled this time, Lindsey around. Since Rob had
already the loyalty of Tammy and Tanya, Rob only needs Lindsey to create a
powerful four. After all, the three of the women were...
“Chicks.” Rob
noted. “I mean, wouldn’t it be great that the final four would be us? That
would definitely rock my body man. My dream come true. A tough chick, a sweet
innocent chick and a very...” Rob paused trying to find a word to say, “a
very experienced one.” He added laughing.
Rob had finally
told Lindsey about his plans of voting out Joel at the first Tribal Council they
go into. Lindsey, happy of an alliance offer to her at this early, easily
accepted it but something’s missing.
“I just don’t
know if losing Joel this early can really benefit the tribe.” Lindsey
comments. “I mean, I’m dead serious in playing this game and everything but
if that means losing strength, then, I don’t know. I’d have to think about
this long and hard.”
DAY TWO:
SARSTOON:
“This tribe
really has great dynamics. I just totally respect each and everyone of them.”
Tanya stated out on the morning of day two. “We work together, we’d get
along great and there’s no one clashing at this point so it’s all good.”
But amidst
Tanya’s comment, there are a lot of scheming done behind the scenes. After Rob
had told Lindsey about his plan against Joel, Lindsey relayed the information
towards Ethan.
After telling to
Ethan, the soccer player had no idea on what to do. Asking Lindsey, “What do
you want to do?”
Lindsey shrugged.
“I really don’t know. I mean, I promised Rob that I’ll vote with them.”
Lowering down her voice, she continued, “Besides, Rob has Tammy and Tanya on
his side so it would be for the best to just side with them for the moment.”
“I don’t know
Linds. I just don’t trust Rob that much.”
“But surely you
can trust either Tammy or Tanya right?” Lindsey asked which Ethan nodded to
that. “We’ll get one of them once we know that the time is right to dispose
Rob.”
“But...”
Ethan commented.
“I know that
you’re skeptical about this but this is how it will go.” Lindsey butted in.
“There are a lot of talking going around already in this tribe and I feel that
we’d get lost if we don’t start talking.”
“Alright then.
I’d agree to that.” Ethan stated as Lindsey thanked him as the two of them
hugged each other.
^^^^
Ethan was uncertain of what he is getting into. Seeing Joel alone by the distance, he approached him. He definitely has some respect towards Joel since he is like Lex in a way.
After all, Ethan
was a winner and he was a honest man. Joel would definitely believe him on this.
“Hey Joel.”
Ethan greeted. Joel looked at him and stated nothing. He was busy chopping wood
for fire. “Do you need help?”
Joel placed down
his machete and wiped the sweat from his forehead. “I thought you’d never
ask.” He pointed towards the pile of wood in the distance and stated, “You
could help me carry those back to camp.”
As Ethan grabbed
a load of wood, Joel did the same and they chatted along the way. On that, Ethan
finally stated, “Rob’s campaigning against you.”
Joel just
snickered. “That’s Rob for you.” He paused to take a rest as Ethan did the
same. “After all, after Rich, he’s the next guy I want to beat.”
“Well, yeah.”
Ethan replied. “But aren’t you concerned about that Rob’s scheming about
you?”
“Yeah, of
course I am but with his reputation, no one would believe him at all.” Joel
answered. “That is true, right?”
Ethan shook his
head no. “He already has Tammy and Tanya.” Ethan relayed. “He tried to get
Lindsey as well but she’s wavering on her decision. Look, I totally have high
respects for you, that’s why I’m telling you this.”
“Dude, that
can’t be happening.” Joel stated. “I’ve worked my ass off for this tribe
and they want me gone?”
Ethan shrugged.
“That’s just
bull man. The old Robassu has to go.” Joel stated as Ethan bit his lip and
agreed to that but he was uncertain. There are two factions now. He has the
power to choose and with that decision, Lindsey goes there as well. Who would he
team up with?
^^^^
Tammy Leitner was
no fool. She knows if someone will cross the line of betraying the other and she
feels it now.
“I sense that
Lindsey is defecting and not agreeing to whatever Rob had told her.” Tammy
stated. “I know that bringing Lindsey over would be a mistake but that
doesn’t mean that I would give up. There’s still Kelly and Colby to work on
so we’d see.”
Tammy approached
Rob and told him about Lindsey talking with Ethan and Joel. Rob, feeling
vulnerable accepted the idea of Tammy to talk to Kelly Wiglesworth. After all,
Kelly has no allies at the moment.
“Hey Kel.”
Rob greeted Kelly. She was by the shore, meditating. It makes her calm and lets
her collect her thoughts for the day.
Kelly smiled at
Rob and replied, “Hi Rob. Want to join me?”
Rob just smiled.
“No thanks. I’ve done meditating a couple of hours ago.”
“Oh.” Kelly
sighed.
“Listen, Kelly,
I was wondering...” Rob paused again. It seems to be his habit now to pause
between awkward statements. After all, he had only known these people for two
days only.
“You were
wondering what?”
“I was
wondering if you would be interested in joining an alliance with us.” Rob
invited.
Kelly shook her
head. “Sorry Rob. I’m done with the alliance thing. Just isn’t me, you
know? Maybe some other time but right now, I’m not sure.”
Rob nodded as if
agreeing to Kelly’s statement. “Just let me know. Just for the record, me,
Tammy and Tanya are going to vote against Joel.” Patting on her back, Rob
added, “Just wanting to let you know.”
Kelly said
nothing as she looked at Rob who walked away back to camp. Once Rob reached
Tammy, he whispered, “Total failure. We need another plan.”
HONDO:
“We desperately
need fire.” Helen commented as Michael started the job in trying to create
fire yet once again. The tribe has done everything that they have been taught
before but yet they haven’t been successful.
“What we were
successful in doing was creating a few sparks.” Michael noted. “But that’s
basically it. We have nothing to lose. We need fire to cook food to have some
nourishment in our bodies.”
Kim Johnson
finally had an idea. Recalling what the Samburu did before in Africa, Kim
suggested the telescope lens idea.
“What do we
have to lose?” Helen agreed as she unscrewed the lens and gave it to Michael.
Positioning the lens, Michael tried his very best to create a ray of light and
soon there was fire.
^^^^
Susan Hawk asked
Tina to go with her to gather up some wood. The two-hardworking women at camp,
the two wives had been close and did some talking. But now, Susan’s agenda was
different. She was determined to create an alliance that consists of great
strategists. And that includes Tina Wesson.
“After all, she
was a winner.” Susan explains. “If I were given the chance, then I know who
to go to and now that I have, I won’t waste it since I want to be at the top
in the end.”
“Over there.”
Tina pointed to a group of trees and fallen branches. “Jeff was there a while
ago chopping up some wood.”
As the two women
gathered up the wood that Jeff Varner had chopped up a while ago, Susan started
to speak.
“Tina, I’d go
straight to the point here.” Susan spoke.
Tina of course
knew about this. She had basically been playing the game way before they got
here and she knew on how power hungry Susan could be. Besides, Tina needed
allies on her side and Susan can prove to be a powerful ally in the long run.
“Shoot.” Tina
replied as she smiled and picked up a few wood scattered around.
“Basically, me
and Richard had been doin some talkin around.” Susan started again. “And
we’ve been talkin about voting together as a bloc. You know what I mean?”
Tina nodded.
“Then that’s
why I’m talkin to you now.” Susan stated. “I want you to join us in a
voting bloc. If you want you can bring Jeff in and we can be a powerful four.”
Tina nodded
still, smiling. “That’s great. Glad that you trust me that much.”
Susan said
nothing as she went back leaving Tina behind.
“Of course I
don’t trust her.” Susan admits. “Nobody can trust Tina Wesson that much
anymore but I know her style. She’d join an alliance at the moment she gets
her hands in one and betrays that to go to another strong power alliance.”
SARSTOON:
For the first
time in two days, Rob felt very vulnerable. After his failed attempt at Kelly,
Lindsey’s defecting, Rob felt very insecure. He knew of Lindsey talking his
plans over to Ethan. He also knew of Ethan relaying the message to Joel. Rob was
in a hurdle. In order to secure his position, he must get Joel out of the game
and in order to do that...
“I need
Colby.” Rob admits. “I desperately in need of Colby’s allegiance to mine.
But I don’t know how he will react to my invitation. I have to get his
allegiance or I’m done. I already have two loyal soldiers behind me, all I
need is another and it’s all done.”
Pulling Colby out
of camp, Rob knew that he was signaling that he’s trying to get Colby’s good
side. Once they were out of ear reach of camp, Rob began his campaign.
“Look, I know
that you want to be alpha top male here in this tribe.” Rob started. “And
I’m willing to give it to you, if...”
“If what?”
Colby asked looking very interested at where this conversation is heading.
“If you agree
to vote out Joel. I mean, with that, you’d be sure that you’d survive the
first vote.”
Colby shrugged.
“Yeah, sure but do you promise me that you won’t vote me out the next time
we go to council?”
“Absolutely.
You’d reach the merger with no problems if you stick to my plan.” Rob
replied reaching out his hand. “Shake to that?”
Colby shook his
head, smiling and finally stated, “Yeah sure.” And shook Rob’s hand.
And in Rob’s
words, it is done.
^^^^
Meanwhile, Joel
was on his mission to save himself from Rob’s gameplay. Approaching Kelly and
Tanya, Joel made sure that he was in a good position with the two women. Joel
had talked with Tanya occasionally and he definitely knows Kelly from Pulau
Tiga.
“Hey girls.”
Joel greeted.
“Hi Joel.”
Kelly greeted back adding, “How are you?”
“Fine.” Joel
answered as he sat beside the two women. “So, do any of you know about Rob’s
gameplan?”
Tanya’s smile
disappeared. She shook her head and answered, “I do. He kinda approached me a
while ago and yesterday.”
“So, are you
going with him?” Joel asked.
For this
question, Tanya didn’t want to answer at all. She was split into two. One
wants to join Rob and be the strategist, and the other wants to join Joel and be
the nice girl next door. She shrugged and replied, “I don’t know. I’d
probably go against someone who I really don’t get along with. After all, its
only a couple of days.”
Joel turned his
attention to Kelly. He knew that he has no hope in turning Tanya’s vote around
now. “What about you Kel?”
Kelly breathed in
deeply and answered, “As for me, I am basically through with those alliance
shit. I vote for someone who I think is a disability for the tribe.”
Joel said
nothing. He didn’t know what to answer to that. And after a long awkward
silence, Kelly finally spoke. “Look, Joel, just be yourself. We have no idea
on who will go, hell, we can even win the first immunity challenge so just
relax.”
Joel nodded.
“Yeah, sure.”
CHALLENGE:
The two tribes
marched their way towards the first immunity challenge on the island. Hondo was
lead by Michael Skupin, his buff wrapped around his head as the rest of the
tribe followed behind him. Sarstoon soon emerged, Tina squealed to see Colby as
they shared a hug. Lex looked at Mike since they were both concerned on the
physical strength Sarstoon have.
But there were
two individuals glaring at each other. Susan and Kelly were looking at each
other; Kelly was looking for an apology while Susan was looking for revenge. Now
that they’ve seen each other, Jeff Probst greeted the two tribes.
“I’m sure
that you’re all excited and eager to see your competitors now.” Jeff
started. “But now, its time for the challenge. Carrying
an outrigger canoe outfitted with two torches, the tribes had to swim with the
canoe out into the ocean, light the torches from a fire cauldron, then race back
to shore while lighting a series of torches along the way. The first tribe to
have successfully lit all the torches and cross the finish line would win.”
Jeff explained. Placing the immunity idol on top of a crate, Jeff stated, “You
all know how important this idol is, so you’d want this beside your side.”
The two tribes took their positions at the
beach as Jeff shouted, “This is for immunity! Survivors ready? Go!”
The weight of the
canoe was hard for the Hondo tribe as Sarstoon took the early lead. As the waves
proved to be a hard factor in the challenge, Hondo soon reached Sarstoon as the
two tribes struggled racing. Reaching the fire cauldron, the two tribes went
back as Hondo fell behind as Kim tripped taking a torch down the ocean putting
it out making them go back to the fire cauldron.
Sarstoon
continued on their struggle as the waves started to get big and strong for them.
Hondo, after lighting their torch again, they headed back but Sarstoon was far
ahead. Once Sarstoon reached shore, they didn’t look back as they continued on
as they reached the finish line.
