Bruce

Bruce is a true legend. No matter the circumstance and even if the odds were highly stacked against him, he would still find a way to go topless. Furthermore, there is no doubt in my mind that he has inspired so many 'martial artists' the world over -Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Samo Hung- with his superb hairstyle.
He has done so much to promote Martial Arts and Oriental culture. He was so advanced for his time in his ideas, philosophies and ambition. If you think back to the sixties, when racism was rife, how many Orientals would have the audacity, courage or belief to become an international film star?
Bruce was also revolutionary in his approach to martial arts. He absorbed what was useful and discarded that which was not and as such, combined aspects from many other art forms (grappling for example) to create Jeet Kune Do.
I could spend forever describing his incredible achievements etc. (perhaps I will one day?) but I would also like you to bare in mind that despite being a 'god' to some, he was ultimately still human; he was therefore susceptible to temptations of both anger and wrath.
Nevertheless, Bruce is a hero to millions and quite rightly so. We should allow his strength and spirit to guide us through our own personal trials.
Although I am god to many, I am also just a human. I understand that life is short (and I get tired), so here are links to a page of Bruce's quotes and a small picture gallery. I hope you can learn from what little there is here and perhaps find out more about this legend in your own time.
p.s. I've got loads of his books, if you live in Cambridge, I might let you borrow some?
