Many people probably don't know, unless I've told you, that the Jersey that I have on only cost $2.00. Now the jersey costs $50-70 dollars.
Back in 2001, when the Lightning were a horrible team. Last in their division and last in the NHL, my Mom bought this jersey (brand new) at a Garage Sale for $2.00.
I guess the son didn't like the team, thus never wore the jersey. I on the other hand, had a good feeling about Tampa. 2003 they started rocking on all cylinders and in 2004 won the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history, since they became a team in 1991.
Don't worry. I know people are having heart attacks seeing me with a Tampa Bay jersey on. I'm still a die hard wings fan, but I also have other hockey jerseys. A National Russian jersey, Anaheim Might Ducks, Detroit Vipers (International Hockey League) Red wings jersey, and of course the Toronto Maple Leafs. Two of the jerseys I got out of the country (Canada) Toronto and the Russian National team. |
