WHY DID JESUS DIE?
In heaven, in one of the eternal days, God poped up a very difficult question. Everyone was stunned, none of the heavenly beings dared to say a word. God asked about who was going to save people on earth from their own sins.In what way? That person needed to be a sacrifice for the sins of the whole world to be satisfactory to God so that God would forgive the sins of all people. The bible records: " There was none in heaven or earth and under the earth worthy to open the book and look thereon " Revelation 5: 3. There was no hope for the earth, not even a single being was worthy enough to give his life for the people of the earth. Not a single being dared to take the book and loose its seals and read it and keep the words therein. No one was able to go down to earth and declare the grace of God to the rebellious human race. The whole earth was faced with the wrath of God and there was none ready to take the blame. The earth had to pay the price for her own sins. I could imagine the face of the Eternal Love filled with pity in his eyes for the sake of the death of the people that he made after Himself. I think I can hear the groaning of the Eternal Spirit in whom the past, present and future is found as He watched the future of His own people that He loved. Then in that moment, out of Himself stood up the lamb as if it was slain and He said: " I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee" Hebrews 2:12. God in the form of His Son became flesh and lived among us and suffered rejection, hunger, temptation and died for our sins. The bible says: " He made Him sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be the righteousness of God in Him." He died to make us the righteousness of God. He died for to heal us with His stripes (Isaiah 53:5) He loved us, He loved me and more specially: HE LOVED YOU !!!
HE WAS WOUNDED FOR OUR TRANSGRESSION,HE WAS BRUISED FOR OUR INIQUITY; THE CHASTISEMENT OF OUR PEACE WAS UPON HIM. BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED. ISAIAH 53:5
